WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS? Essential oils are volatile liquids and aromatic compounds that are distilled or pressed from plants. Essential oils have been used for thousands of years for cosmetic purposes, as well as for their spiritually and emotionally uplifting properties.

Primarily extracted through careful steam distillation but also through cold pressing, the purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanicals from which they were extracted. Any time you hold a bottle of our powerful essential oils, you are holding nature’s pure essence.

GETTING STARTED SAFELY Because everyone’s body is different, always skin test an essential oil (properly diluted) to test for reactions before using it. Use a small area of skin that is not typically exposed to cosmetics, personal care products, or chemicals. 2

Essential oils may work against chemicals stored in your skin or fatty tissues and cause a rash or local reaction. If this happens, temporarily discontinue the use of oils and determine if you should begin a detoxification program. © 2019 Oil Revolution Designs

HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS Experience the transformative benefits of essential oils by using them in one of these three ways.

AROMATICALLY • Rub 2-3 drops of

essential oil between your palms and inhale. • Use your favorite essential oils in an ultrasonic diffuser.

• Place 2-3 drops of essential oil directly on the desired area and massage in.

• Place 1-2 drops of oil into a vegetable capsule and swallow with water.

Essential oils are very potent and may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs apply any carrier oil to the area to dilute.

• Add 1-2 drops of essential oil to a glass of water, NingXia Red®, juice, yogurt, your favorite sweetener, or plantbased milk and swallow.

• Add a few drops of essential oil to a bowl of hot water. Cover your head and bowl with a towel. Breathe deeply and slowly.

TROUBLESHOOTING When you begin to use the oils, go slow! If skin irritation, rash, nausea, headache, or sensitivity occurs, you could be detoxing or simply doing too much, too fast. © 2019 Oil Revolution Designs

Citrus oils and blends may cause temporary photosensitivity. Avoid direct sunlight and UV rays for at least 12 hours after application. Consult the label first.

• Add 1-2 drops of oil (to taste) to meals when cooking.
