Governor’s rapids Tourism Masterplan
Quirino Province, Philippines
The Local Government Unit of Quirino was planning to open the province and expand its economic opportunities through tourism. Together with the University of the Philippines Planning and Development Research Foundation (UP PLANADES), the Quirino Tourism Masterplan was created.
Part of the masterplan is the creation of linked adventure spots along the Governor’s Rapids. Each point target different adventure experience which based mostly on the existing character of the area.
The whole stretch of the Governor’s Rapids will have 5 connected points. The Common Area, or the culmination point, is proposed to have the main office, hammock houses, outdoor exhibit area, restaurants, adventure park, VIP hotel (to be called as Governor’s View Point), and a hanging bridge connected to the other mountain across the river.
Points A and B are the specified locations of docking areas for tubing and boating, respectively. These locations have observation towers, parking, and control offices.
