OKELL’S isle of man

And Union are a collaborative brewer. Breweries find it increasingly difficult to remain viable. They create unions, bringing great expertise together. They first brewed lagers in Bavaria and now they’re launching a cask ale range working with some of the best brewers, bringing great expertise together. Their beer sales contribute towards Centre Point, a charity to support the youth homeless. Dr. William Okell, a Cheshire surgeon, started Okell’s Brewery in Castle Hill, Douglas, Isle of Man in 1850. By 1874, Dr. Okell owned many of the pubs on the island, had convinced Tynwald (the Isle of Man’s parliament), to create an act ensuring the purity of beer brewed on the Isle of Man, and built The Falcon Steam Brewery just outside Douglas.

MPA

Aromas of tropical fruit, mango, passion fruit and papaya. Initially sweet flavours with an intense dry hop finish.

BITTER

An amber beer with a full malt flavour and superb hop aroma, with a long lasting dry-ish hoppy complex finish.

SPRING RAM

A light golden coloured beer with a malty aroma that has a well-rounded palate and a rich bittersweet flavour.

IPA

An overall roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness.

MAGPIE BREWERY nottingham

Founded by homebrewers Bob, Ken and Nick in 2006, Magpie started life as a traditional real ale brewery. Initially, their beer was brewed on just a six barrel kit! 17 years later they’re up to 20 barrels and have expanded their range of styles with their brewing capacity. This scrumptious premium medium cider is rich in fruity aromas and ripe apple flavours. A blend of bittersweet and dessert apples carefully selected for their delicious mellow taste. Best before a long sleep.
