Football Staff BJ Main
Wide Receivers Coach BJ Main is a 2005 graduate of Loras College and quarterback with the Duhawks under former head coach Bob Bierie. Main earned his degree in criminal justice. He returned to the staff in 2011 after previously serving for two years on the staff in 2006 and 2007. During Main’s time in a Loras uniform, the team won over 20 games. BJ works with the wide receivers for the Duhawks. He resides in Dubuque.
Connor Doyle
Defensive Back Intern Connor Doyle is a defensive intern for the Duhawks. He will work with defensive backs. Doyle, a Decorah, Iowa, native, will graduate in Spring 2013 with a degree in social studies/secondary education and a minor in coaching from Winona State University in Winona, Minn.. Before coming to Loras, Doyle served as a volunteer assistant at Decorah High School.
Athletic Training The Loras College Athletic Trainers are an integral part of Duhawk Athletics. The athletic trainers work to prevent, treat, and rehabilitate those who are injured, and strive to provide the teams with safe and healthy student-athletes who can compete within the philosophy of Loras College, the Iowa Conference, and the NCAA. Each practice and home athletic event has a Certified Athletic Trainer who is responsible for any medical issues which may arise. Joining the certified staff is a varying number of students who earn experience and credit hours while helping to execute the daily duties of the athletic trainer. These students combine their field work with academics while pursuing their degree in the nationally accredited athletic training education program.
Chris Kamm
Head Athletic Trainer Chris Kamm is in his second season with the Duhawks as the head athletic Ttainer at Loras College. Kamm, a native of Waukon, Iowa, was most recently at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa, which partnered with Luther College of the Iowa Conference. With Winneshiek Medical Center, Kamm worked with the football, basketball, track and field, soccer and baseball teams with the Norse as well as multiple area high schools. Kamm was a one-year member of the baseball team at IIAC member Central College, where he graduated in 2005 with an exercise science/athletic training degree. He earned his master’s degree in exercise science from Northern Michigan University in 2007. Kamm has also spent time with Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Michigan, and the volleyball, swimming and track and field teams at Northern Michigan University. He also interned at Team Rehab in Decorah, Iowa.
Equipment Room Jeff Kilburg
Equipment Manager Jeff Kilburg is in his fourth season on staff with the Duhawks as the team’s equipment manager. Kilburg oversees all uniform and equipment needs for each of Loras’ 22 sports. He maintains the football team’s new locker room inside the Athletic and Wellness Center. Kilburg also helps with the maintenance and care of the athletics facilities on campus. His efforts play a major role in the day to day operation of the football team and athletic department. Kilburg resides in Bellevue, Iowa with his wife Angie and their five children, Kassy, Collin, Riley, Rachel, and Peter.
