We are planning on adding The Student Section to future issues, but students, we need your help - and this includes students from any of our 20+ schools within Lorain. Lorain Local is your area to shine, but we need your work to feature!

As a prompt, please let us know what the past couple of months have been like as a student. We know it has been extremely challenging away from your teachers and friends, but you all have done a great job and have successfully made it through another school year! Congratulations to every one of our Lorain Local students!
As you begin this journey, we would love to hear from you, too. What has it been like for you as a student or a recent graduate living through the COVID-19 pandemic? We know you missed out on events and memories you had been looking forward to celebrating, but is there anything you can reflect upon that has positively come from the way the school year concluded?
Did you receive an acceptance letter or any special recognition during the shutdown? Did you finalize plans that you are looking forward to enjoying in the future? Did an opportunity arise for you that you would not have had if schools had been in session as usual through the end of the year?
Lorain Local is here to support you now and as you embark into the future. Let us give you the spotlight and help to provide you an outlet to capture your memories, even if they are not exactly what you had envisioned initially.

Connect with us and share the positive experiences that you have had, despite the challenges presented over the past couple of months. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, so you and your parent or guardian can decide how you would like your name to appear by your entry. We can list your first name and initial of your last name, the initials of your first and last name, or A Lorain Local Student. Please be sure to include how you would like it displayed when submitting content.
Specifically to the Class of 2020:
First, congratulations from our family to yours. Graduating high school is a significant accomplishment, and you should be very proud of yourselves for your hard work and dedication to make this happen. Obtaining your diploma is something no one can take away from you, and we are very excited to support you as you embark toward reaching your dreams. We have been cheering you on every step of the way, and we will continue to do so as you begin the journey into your future.
Remember, we are all Lorain Locals, and we are all in this together.
