FUN FACT:
The outdoor pool is perfect for the summer months and features two different 24-foot tall water slides, tumble buckets, water jets, water cannons and a separate tot pool with a mushroom waterfall. The outdoor pool also features a concession stand as well as a playground.

Vermilion River Reservation was the very first Lorain County Metro Park after its donation to the newly-formed park district in 1958.

FUN FACT:
The park sits on a 21-plus acre lake formed by the Wellington South Reservoir and is perfect for kayaks and paddleboats, which can be rented from the on-site livery (open Thur.-Mon., Memorial Day-Labor Day)
NATURE FACT:
The lake is home to largemouth bass, channel catfish, and a lot of bluegill. Visitors may bring their own non-gas motorized boats to fish in the 107 million-gallon body of water.
