2021 Outstanding Senior Award recipients The University of Nebraska at Kearney Alumni Association Outstanding Senior Award recognizes UNK seniors for excellence in scholarship and leadership, as well as involvement and dedication to UNK and the Kearney community. Trevor Daubert, son of Michael and Heather Daubert of Omaha. Trevor received his degree in comprehensive biology with a health sciences emphasis in May. He is attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Adrian Gomez Ramos, son of Faustino Gomez and Maria
Ramos of Lexington. Adrian graduated in May with a degree in public administration and a minor in public law. He is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Lena Janssen, daughter of Marita and Dieter Janssen of
Westoverledingen, Germany. Lena graduated in May with a comprehensive physics degree, along with a degree in mathematics. She will be pursuing a master’s degree in physics.
Faith Kowalski, daughter of Autumn Kowalski and the late Patrick Kowalski of Kearney. Faith graduated in May with a double major in sports management comprehensive and business administration. She is attending the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Law.
Makenzie Petersen, daughter of Tricia Petersen and Mike
Shields of O’Neill. Makenzie graduated in May with a degree in English education 7-12 and a minor in public law. She is pursuing a master’s degree in English rhetoric at Carnegie Mellon University.
