PART OF THE UBC MALCOLM KNAPP RESEARCH FOREST
Originally built in 1949 to house the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Forestry field camps, Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre has a long tradition of providing environmental education and outdoor recreation.
While still hosting the Faculty of Forestry field schools throughout the year, Loon Lake now offers many other groups the opportunity to take advantage of its idyllic setting for their own outdoor education needs. Offering year-round meeting, conference and retreat facilities, Loon Lake is the perfect location for any adult or youth group looking to host an event.

TheLoon Lake, a large 56 hectare (140 acre) private lake, is an exceptionally special place in the Lower Mainland. Fishing and motorized activities are banned here in order to keep the lake a pristine and natural paradise. Loon Lake is 300 metres wide, approximately 1.6 kilometers long, and is fed by a number of small streams that drain down throughout its watershed.
