I solemnly pledge myself, in the presence of this assembly, to practice my profession faithfully. I will not knowingly administer harmful treatments to those in my care and will consider it my personal obligation to provide the safest, most effective care possible. I will hold in con fidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I devote myself to the advancement of nursing practice and to the welfare of those committed to my charge.
