BRAEBIRDS by JIM FRANK | Yellow-throated Warbler

It’s late November and the leaves are yellow and falling which makes it easier to little birds A case in point is this black and white warbler with a bright yellow thro perfectly named as a Yellow-throated Warbler There are fifty-six warblers in th Canada and all are about the same size and most have some amount of yellow But this warbler stood out because of its bold yellow throat and black and white allowing a fairly easy identification.

I saw this warbler on hole number five in the trees above our border wall, a very go to look for our smaller birds such as warblers, gnatcatchers, woodpeckers, and king
