OUR ARTIST Jenna Annunziato Jenna Annunziato is a visual artist based in Denver, Colorado. Since receiving a BFA in Painting and Drawing from SUNY New Paltz, NY, she has shown work in selected galleries across the Hudson Valley and Denver, Colorado. Notable exhibitions include Hudson Valley New Folk curated by Anna Conlan at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, and the Kingston Annual showcase of Hudson Valley artists at the Kingston Art Society, both in 2020. In Colorado, she has had a number of solo exhibitions including Forest of the Forgotten at Bell Projects in the Rino Arts District, and Transitions at the Foothills Art Center in Golden, CO. In 2023, she will participate in her first residency with Mission Street Arts in Jimenez Springs, NM. She is currently a member of Redline Contemporary Art Center's satellite studio program and works out of the Evans School in the Golden Triangle in Denver.
Artist Statement Unconventional Commonalities My work is based in installation, I focus on the relationships that pop up across series, mixing and matching pieces to create a new narrative. I explore the connection these paintings have to the viewer and the surrounding environment by releasing an individual object from the confined form of a traditional canvas. This freedom allows me to arrange the pieces into different still life configurations where the entire installation becomes the piece, exploring the idea of how the parts make up the whole. I place the raw canvas flush to the wall, rendered carefully to play with perceptions of depth and flatness. The objects I choose to paint are often discarded, mundane, or everyday experiences I come across, pulling inspiration from the world around me.

2023 Commissioners' Choice The Commissioners' Choice program is an artist invitational which provides a unique exhibition opportunity at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Each year, the Lone Tree Arts Commission supports emerging and professional Colorado-based artists by providing a venue to display their work in a public setting. Please see below for more information for this specific show. The Lone Tree Arts Center is open to the public from 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday, and two hours prior to any scheduled LTAC show.
