Daniel Ek A serial entrepreneur and technologist Daniel Ek started his first company in 1997, aged 14. In 2006, Daniel and Mar tin Lorentzon, co-founder of TradeDoubler, set up Spotify AB in Stockholm, Sweden. In October 2008, the company launched its legal music streaming service Spotify. Spotify is now an award winning digital music service that gives on demand access to over millions of songs. As of May 2014, Spotify had over 40million users with 10 million subscribers. Daniel serves as Spotify’s CEO. As of 2012 he is ranked 395th on the British rich list with a calculated worth of £190m
