After a spectacular Congress in Bangkok in 2015, we are greatly looking forward to hosting the Congress in the world's creative capital, London. Not only is it home to many of the world's greatest publishing houses, it is Europe's most multicultural, global and vibrant city. We look forward to the international publishing community coming together for what is going to be an exciting, relevant and dynamic Congress. Conference Chair Profile Youngsuk ‘YS’ Chi Youngsuk ëYSí Chi currently serves Elsevier and RELX Group in several different capacities. In his primary role as Director of Corporate Affairs and Asia Strategy for RELX Group, he is responsible for government affairs, corporate communications, and corporate responsibility for Elsevier’s parent company. As non-executive Chairman of Elsevier, he works directly with governments, Elsevier customers and in industry associations worldwide. Additionally, Chi is the Vice Chair of the Association of American Publishers, a US trade association that serves as a voice for over 400 consumer, educational, professional and scholarly publishers. He will serve as Chair of the Association of American Publishers beginning in March 2016. Chi also completed 4 years of service as the President of the International Publishers Association, a global organization that represents the interests of more than 50 publishing industry association members from countries around the world, and will serve as Past President until 2016. Early in his career as Chief Operating Officer of Ingram Book Group, Chi co-founded Lightning Source, the first ever print-on-demand distributor and e-book services provider. After holding several senior executive positions at Ingram Book Groupís parent company, he became President and Chief Operating Officer of Random House. Chi has earned widespread respect for his ability to work across cultures. As founding Chairman of Random House Asia, he led efforts to make Random House the first foreign trade book publisher with local language publishing in Japan and Korea.

Key speakers Arnaud Nourry graduated from ESCP Europe Business School in 1982 and earned a master’s degree in Organizational Sociology the following year from Université Paris Dauphine. After volunteering for two years in Cameroon, he joined Société d’Informatique de Système (a subsidiary of Compagnie Bancaire) in 1986 as a consulting engineer and then, in 1988, Mensia Conseil, where he worked for two years. In 1990, Nourry joined Hachette Livre as an advisor to then chairman Jean-Louis Lisimachio. He was named Deputy CFO in 1994 and went on to become General Secretary of the Hatier Group and later Managing Director in 2002. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Livre by Arnaud Lagardère in June 2003.
Chiki Sarkar is the founder and publisher of Juggernaut Books. She began her career at Bloomsbury publishing and was subsequently publisher of Random House India and Penguin India before setting up on her own.
Paul Doda is Global Litigation Counsel at Elsevier Inc. Paul’s primary areas of practice are commercial litigation, copyright enforcement and anti-piracy initiatives. Paul is the chair of the International Publishers Association’s (IPA) Copyright Committee and a member of IPA’s AntiPiracy Working Group.
Rok Kvaternik is CEO for Southeast Europe and Turkey within Ernst Klett Publishers group and has more than 20 years of experience in publishing. With his innovation and entrepreneurial skills, Rok Kvaternik proves that publishing can keep up with the modern times, and that the use of modern technologies and knowledge as well as by considering local specialties, publishing can be successfully integrated on the market also in the era of the World Wide Web and in a multitude of information that are accessible at the tips of our fingers.

Transport in London Buses London buses are a quick, cheap and easy way of travelling around the city and seeing the sights at the same time. Please be aware that London buses do not accept cash payments. Oyster Card is the easiest method of travel.
The Tube London has an underground rail network known as the “tube” which is normally the quickest way of travelling around the city. Pick up a tube map from any station to help guide you and use either an Oyster card or your contactless payment card to get through the barriers.
