The Democratic Party has emerged victorious with the Democratic Nominee Joe Biden as the president elect and Kamala Harris as the vice president elect.
Joe Biden has received 290 electoral college votes according to AP News.
Joe Biden has been presenting speeches. The most well known being the Speech he made after becoming president-elect on November 7th and stating that he has gained over 74 million ballots and has made a presidential record for the history in doing so.
He has also said in his speech to be a president that does not divide but unifies the American people. Biden said he doesn’t “see red states and blue states, only the United States.” Which is a reference to one of Obama’s speeches back when Barack Obama ran for president in 2004.

“‘We want every legal vote counted.’ I want every legal vote counted.” - Donald Trump
The Republican Party’s, President Donald Trump hasn’t conceded in this 2020 election, after reaching 232 Electoral College votes he requested a recount in the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada, according to AP News. Joe Lieberman a former United States Senator said that, “Trump has right to ask for recounts.”
President Trump’s current legal battle is with Pennsylvania on those terms. Trump supporters have been protesting against the election results at the Supreme court in support of Donald Trump on social media and in public seen on Fox news.
According to Archive.gov December 14th is the day the Electoral votes are sent to Congress for a counting to make sure each Electoral vote is correct, The official date for Congress to count the votes is on January 6th, 2021. The Final result will end on the Inauguration day at noon on January 20th, 2021.
