OCSP - Cambodia 24 Jun 2012 to 01 July 2012 OCSP at Kandal, Cambodia This is an 8 days event held during the June vacation. A total of 20 engineering students participated in this programme. The project is a collaboration between ITE and Youth Association of Cambodia (YAC). The scope of this project includes the reconstruction of the school toilets, renovation/tiling of the school library, preparation of the school gardening plot, having soccer friendly matches with the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia and visiting the Orphanage Training Centre and the Cambodia Youth Centre. The trip also provided a platform for students to learn new skills and experiences. At the same time, gained awareness and understanding of the Cambodian history and culture so as to broaden the student’s horizon in social/cultural diversity and be grateful of their own privilege background.

This trip has allowed students to learn teamwork and leadership skills and has inspired them to make a difference in their society. The students found this programme useful, satisfying and challenging.
