bakkuda BAKKUDA FOR GALACTIC PRESIDENT 2015 In review, 2014 was a “year of firsts” for San Diego based artist, Alex Capella. She traveled across the U.S. playing shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. Her music traversed the airwaves in San Diego and she was even interviewed by radio personality, Tim Pyles of 94/9. I recently caught up with Alex to get the scoop behind her project, BAKKUDA. Alex is a person with a “create something today, even if it sucks” attitude. She’s constantly at work, perfecting her music down to the last note. This characteristic has helped her gain some notoriety which has pushed her further into the music scene as an independent creator; which is not something to brush off. “I’m convinced you have to be slightly crazy to try and break into the music industry,” Capella states, attributing it to the competitive nature of the industry.
