HOLIDAY TEA PARTY

The cast of Madeline’s Christmas hosts a Christmas party for kiddos.

PRIOR TO THE PERFORMANCE of Madeline’s Christmas, treat your children to a holiday tea party. Children will be able to meet the cast members before they perform at The Loft Stage.

At Madeline’s Petite Patisserie Party, kids will be able to dress up as their favorite book, movie or TV character while helping themselves to delectable snacks.

Barbe Marshall Hansen, executive director at the Merrill Arts Center (MAC), notes that the party features Bundtinis from MAC sponsor, Nothing Bundt Cakes, along with other snacks, a choice of juice or water, coloring pages and photo ops. Madeline and the cast are also expected to sing a few songs before taking to the stage for the show.

“It is so fun to see two dozen little princesses, superheroes, Tiggers, Madeline’s, Betsy and Tacy, etc. cosplaying it up while sipping ‘tea,’ coloring, meeting real live royalty and singing with Madeline’s Christmas cast. Watching the grown-ups taking pictures is really fun, too,” Hansen says.

Madeline’s Christmas has performances on December 6–8 and 13–15. In the musical adaption of Ludwig Bemelman’s children’s story, Madeline and her schoolmates are sick on Christmas Eve. With the help of a magical rug merchant, Madeline brings her friends on an unforgettable journey.
