Brittany Laurie Reenan, a hair stylist for over 15 years, opened the trendy, eco-friendly hair salon of your dreams—Salty Blonde Cut Co. This salon is ideal to get your hair fix, sip on coffee and shop through a unique collection of accessories deriving from collaborations with local artists. Although the salon is quite new to the community, it didn’t take long for the team to be recognized and loved by locals.

Tucked away in the corner of a quiet shopping center in the heart of Costa Mesa, Salty Blonde Cut Co. is the hidden gem making a statement with its vast windows that clients gravitate to with ease. The entrance of the salon presents a hip, bohemian vibe that welcomes you in—and also gives you a bit of design envy, thanks to Jesi Haack Design. “I like that the salon is open and clean, but feels very welcoming and it doesn’t feel stark. I also love that all of my salon’s stylists are an amazing team and they work together very well, so you can feel that energy at the salon,” Brittany said. Ever since she was little, Brittany was obsessed with styling hair, so it didn’t take her long to decide to become a hairstylist. Having started her career by working in various hair salons for over a decade, Brittany finally made the decision to let her
Although the salon’s name may seem straightforward, there’s much more to it than meets the eye. “The word ‘salt’ has so many meanings to me. It comes from one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible, ‘Be the salt and the light,’ so to me, that is pouring into the community and showing good with your actions,” Brittany said. And showing good is exactly what Brittany has done. Salty Blonde Cut Co. is an eco-luxe salon where Brittany carefully hand picks sustainable hair products. “Two of our lines are vegan—one is very sustainable. They have their own farms in Italy where they farm for most of their ingredients, so I try to pick products that are green to the environment,” said Brittany. The salon also recycles hair, used foils and hair colors making Salty Blonde Cut Co. even more friendly to Mother Nature; “The hair gets used for third world countries to make pillows and mats, the products never get to the
