What is a CSA? It’s like subscribing to your favorite farm.

A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program strengthens the local food economy by connecting consumers and producers. In a typical CSA model, consumers sign up for a subscription (share) then receive a weekly box of farm fresh products throughout the growing season. Throughout Michigan, CSA models vary in size, flexibility, and offerings because every farm runs their program differently. With a CSA, everybody wins. Farmers benefit from a dependable revenue source and the opportunity to use upfront payments to cover annual costs, like seeds and tools. Subscribers get access to quality local food and a direct connection with a local farm.
