Haigh Show This year’s Haigh Show takes place on Sunday 19th August at The Windmill Field in Copperas Lane, Haigh, running from 10am to 4pm. There’s lots of exciting activities for all the family, including Lancashire Hawks and Owls, a fun dog show, a parade of vintage tractors and Lancashire’s Holcombe Hunt will also be in attendance. Other attractions include a cattle parade, young farmers’ club activities, a tug of war and much more! Keeping in with the country theme, there will also be that most English of activities, a ploughing match! This is all in addition to the usual competitive classes for horse, cattle, sheep, poultry, rabbits and dogs. There will be a Farmers Market at the show and lots of trade stands too. If you own a business, then it’s not too late to apply for a trade stand on the show day. Admission prices for the show are £7 for adults, £3 for children aged 5-12 and children under the age of 5 go free.
