Bickerstock 2018 Bickerstaffe’s annual free festival makes a return. On Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5, Bickerstaffe Parish Fields, Hall Lane will hold the 15th annual festival. The festival aims to promote live music, bring the community together and of course raise money for charity. There’ll be stalls where attendees can buy jewellery, wood crafts, soaps, vintage fabrics, and other crafts. A licensed bar offers everything from wines to locally brewed ales. Come along and see the famous Piano Bar. The Barbecue is run by Barrow Nook Community

Barbecuers, long standing Bickerstaffe residents who’ll provide burgers, hot dogs and bacon butties, all made from high quality locally sourced meat. The Trinity Tea Shop also offers a range of fresh food to enjoy. Up-and-coming local musicians perform alongside established musicians, giving the people of West Lancs the opportunity to hear local talent. Over the years Bickerstock has raised thousands of pounds for local good causes and charities, including Bickerstaffe Pensioners’ Day Trip Fund; Bickerstaffe Amateur Football Club; St Joseph’s Hospice; Skelmersdale Sea Cadets; Rainford Young Farmers; Animals in Need and Ormskirk Hospital neo-natal unit.
