Golf Skills Practice Highlands Golf Course, 5501 NW 12th St. Mondays 5:30 - Health screening check-in 5:45-6:45 PM - Practice Fee: TBD Dates: TBD Unified Alternate Shot 9 Hole and Unified Alternate Shot 18 Hole golfers can practice at any location at any time. Golfers must turn in 6 scorecards to Easterday no later than TBD. Scorecards must be signed and dated by course personnel.
Please Note: at the time of submission, the fitness center is not open to the TAI CHI public. Once we re-open during Tai Chi – Moving for Better Balance (Level I) the pandemic, we will be operating April 13 – July 1 T/R 11 AM - Noon on appointments only. This will be Tai Chi – Moving for Better Balance (Level II) necessary while health directives April 13 – July 2 T 1 - 2 PM related to social distancing and limits F 11AM - Noon on the amount of people gathering are in place.
Chair Yoga
All ages are welcome at the fitness 12:30 - 1:30 PM center. Cardio equipment, strength training equipment, free weights, Dance for Life balance and other exercise aids are April 26 – July 26 M 2 - 3 PM available. $10 suggested monthly (no classes May 31 and July 5) contribution for age 60 and over and April 7 – June 23 W 10 - 11AM family caregivers of any age. $15 fee for under age 60. April 16 – July 2

A certified personal trainer is 10 - 11 AM available Tuesdays and Thursdays BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at no extra 2 - 3 PM charge.
Movement & Strength with Fun in Between April 13 – June 29 T
Classes focus on injury and disease prevention. There is a $4/class suggested contribution for age 60 and over and family caregivers of any age or a $5/class fee for under age 60. Punch cards are available. Preregistration is required for all classes by calling 402-441-7575. Please register early. Classes that do not have sufficient enrollment will be canceled. The listed classes are only available on Zoom. Please call 402-441-7575 to register for your Zoom classes. You will be sent information about how to access Zoom and the specific classes you are interested in. Prior to the classes, you will need to download the Zoom app on your device. You will need to register in order to receive the access code to enter a class.

Rock Steady Boxing classes have been proven to lessen Parkinson's disease symptoms among all types of participants, leading to a healthier and happier life! Reopening April 2021! Rock Steady Boxing is an exercise program based on training used by professional boxers and adapted for people with Parkinson's disease. Rock Steady Boxing is taught by experienced trainers and includes stretching, bicycling, running, jumping rope, push-ups, balancing and non-contact boxing. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life. Only those with Parkinson's disease may register for the program, and all participants must provide a physician's release. There are no age or condition restrictions and caregivers may need to be present to provide assistance during the class. *An assessment is required to determine your level of participation before beginning Rock Steady Boxing. $45/assessment (includes assessment, t-shirt, gloves, & wraps)
