We are proud to share that, once again, U.S. News & World Report has named Lake Norman Charter High School a "Best High School" for 2024! According to the publication, LNC HS is the 15th best high school in North Carolina. Congratulations goes to all of our school stakeholders especially our students, teachers and parents!

to senior Tai Stephan, who qualified as one of 25 finalists for the National Honor Society scholarship which celebrates and promotes the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service and character. This year over 16,000 NHS members from across the nation applied for the scholarship. Tai was invited to the White House by the committee of education to meet with elected officials and discuss legislation and ask questions.

They outscored students from Wilmington, Goldsboro & Fayetteville to take home the prize by collectively answering 3,139 math questions correctly over the course of the contest.

to high school students Avian Cannon, Raymond Lin, Reyna Lin, Olivia Wardlow and Charley Weaver for winning Regional Scholastic Gold Key Awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing competition is the most prestigious contest for middle and high school students.

to the three middle school students who earned Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers:

Bailey Chouinard, Gold Key for poetry

Amina Zeeshan, Silver Key for science fiction & fantasy

Aimery Coffey, Honorable Mention for poetry

to sophomore Aaron Wang for making it to the final round of qualification for the United States Math Team. Aaron is one of only approximately 250 students in America to qualify for the Unites States of America Math Olympiad (USAMO), which is an intense six-question, 9-hours long test spread over a two-day period.

Aaron also received received an invitation to participate in the Mathematical Olympiad Program (MOP). He will have the opportunity to study with the brightest math minds in our country as well as receive tutelage from some of our country’s top mathematicians for three weeks at Carnegie Mellon University this summer.

to the LNC Math team who placed as the Number 3 math team in North Carolina at the NC Comprehensive State Finals at NCSSM. This is the state’s toughest and most prestigious math competition. The team was led by 10th grader Aaron Wang (3rd place) and 7th grader Lucas Li (7th place). LNC has two of the top 10 Mathletes North Carolina!
