Did you know the August birthstone is the PERIDOT? Pronounced “PearA-Dot” (rhymes with hot). It is sometimes called the evening emerald for its light green color. According to semi-precious stones mythology the peridot crystal shines like a light beam of energy, a stone of happy, lighthearted vibes and the perfect companion to lead us onto a path of sunshine.

It was once believed that the green peridot crystals found in volcanic ashes were the tears of the volcano goddess, Pele. The peridot has been found in volcanic lava in Hawaii and in meteorites that have fallen to Earth. In the 1700s, a meteorite that landed in Siberia contained many peridot crystals that were large enough to be used for jewelry. When set in gold, this gem was said to protect the wearer from nightmares. Starting with the August issue of Three Balls Chronicles, we’ll be featuring an employee spotlight through our newest “guess who” contest called, Who’s That Baby Now?

Each month Employee Services will feature a new “Who’s That Baby Now” contest for all employees that read Three Balls Chronicles. After the contest, the employee in the photo will be showcased in the next month’s issue as Employee Spotlight that includes cool things you didn’t know about that person, their sales achievements, and what they love most about working for Loyalty Pawn. Each employee who is selected for a specific month of Who’s that Baby Now, will receive at $50 Amazon gift card and will be interviewed by Employee Services for the Employee Spotlight section of Three Balls Chronicle.

Additionally, all employees who submit a correct answer to who the employee is now will be entered into that month’s contest drawing for a chance to win the PDO Certificate (Paid Day Off- good for an 8-hour paid day off) sponsored by Loyalty Pawn. Winner and Employee Spotlight Write-up will be announced in the following month’s issue of Three Balls Chronicles.
