Known as the track “Where the Fast Go Faster,� Henry County is the proud home of Atlanta Motor Speedway, a 1.54 mile track that is one of the premier motorsports facilities in the country. Two annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races rev up the crowd at Atlanta Motor Speedway, as well as the Thursday Thunder summer-racing series and Friday Night Drags. Tours operate daily from the gift shop.

The 204-acre Nash Farm Battlefield was the site of the largest Calvary raid in Georgia’s history and a huge Confederate campsite. Exploring the Area You’ll find that Henry County makes a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area, located only 30 minutes from the attractions of downtown Atlanta and less than an hour from Macon.
Atlanta You can spend days exploring the metro Atlanta area’s attractions. The kids will love the new Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Stone Mountain State Park and Six Flags Over Georgia. Take time for reflection at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Revel in visual beauty at the High Museum of Art or the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Macon Venture south to Macon for the great historic city of the American South. Attractions include 10,000year-old Indian mounds, the largest collection of ancient African artifacts, the top 40 musical hits of Little Richard and REM at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and remember the greats at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
In Between Between Atlanta and Macon there is plenty to keep you busy. Stately Oaks, in neighboring Jonesboro, is that city’s response to the question, “Where is Tara?” If you prefer the outdoors, travel south to fish at Jackson Lake, one of the best fishing lakes in Georgia.
