There are those who use the crystal ball without scrying. For this use, the crystal is used as a focal point to clear the mind for meditation, so that the information can be revealed through other means. This can be presented through the other senses, or simply arise as an understanding.
How Do You Scry with a Crystal Ball? There are many who will find the systems of quiet receptivity and symbolic analysis in this book to be useful, including the divination beginner wishing to expand his or her repertoire of tools, or the natural psychic who can’t seem to “turn off ” visions or other purposeful perceptions and is desperately seeking a focus. This book does not pretend to be complete, and after reading it, you will not be guaranteed the ability to start your own fortunetelling business. No book can or should be the only resource for that, and I am still a staunch proponent of apprenticeships for that goal, but with this book you can expect guidance for beginning a personal practice of meditation and reading a crystal ball for yourself and others, if desired. I began scrying naturally from my earliest childhood memories. As a rockhound child, picking up every quartz stone and frequenting gem shows with my parents, the use of small crystal spheres was an extension to this everyday practice. My parents were very encouraging of all my imaginative and spiritual pursuits, and my mother also practices divination. At the age of eighteen, I began selling readings professionally, using many different methods of divination—but
