Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a great place to be a student.
With two city centre campuses, five faculties and over 23,000 students from over 100 countries, LJMU is a modern, student-centric university ranked among the top 50 in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2019). Making sure our students have access to high quality facilities is really important, and we continue to invest and develop in a wide range of campus projects; such as our landmark Student Life building and Sports Centre, our brand new School of Education building
and the refurbishment and extension of our libraries and the School of Nursing and Allied Health. At the Open Day we get to show you all of this and more! Everybody at LJMU wants you to succeed in your studies. GETTING AROUND A free shuttle bus service will be available throughout the Open Day to transport you between the two campuses. The shuttle bus stops are shown on the map on page 37. Liverpool is a compact city making it really easy to get around on foot. If you would prefer to walk between the Mount Pleasant Campus and the City Campus, pick up a map and student helpers will also be on hand to provide directions. 5

LJMU Sports Centre Our on-site Sports Centre is part of LJMU’s multi-million pound development on Copperas Hill in Liverpool City Centre. The Sports Centre includes an 8 court sports hall, two multifunctional studio rooms and a two floor gym comprising of over 120 training stations complete with the latest Technogym Excite range.

VISITING STUDENT ACCOMMODATION Our student accommodation is available to view as part of today’s Open Day between 09:00-15:30. There are, however, plenty of car parking options in the immediate area within easy walking distance. The locations of local public car parks are shown on the map on page 37.
