Strawberry Field leads way in being accessible to all

Strawberry Field is aiming to be the UK’s Number 1 attraction for accessibility, thanks to a series of upgraded and innovative features. With responsible tourism and wellbeing at its heart, this award-winning heritage site now leads the way in being accessible to all, with full wheelchair access, tours for the visually impaired and features to support the hard of hearing and other disabilities, as well as a multi-language media guide and a Changing Places toilet facility. Through research and focus groups, the team have upgraded elements of the visitor experience to ensure that everyone is welcome and has had a tremendously enthusiastic response.

Huyton with Roby & Liverpool RAF Annual Wings Appeal

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the RAF Association and once again, they have the Official Street License that allows them to be out & about raising funds on 18th September 2021 in the Kirkby & Huyton-with-Roby Liverpool areas. The Association offer welfare and family support, much needed short breaks, pension and compensation guidance, as well as individual support to help injured personnel realise their potential. The RAF Association receives no Government funding and depends entirely on the generosity of our members and the general public. If you are out and about on Saturday 18th September, please look out for their Wings Appeal Collectors, and donate the loose change that you may have in your purse or pockets.

Beechley Stables launch exciting new lottery

Friends of The LINK, Beechley Riding Stables in Allerton, launched their brand new lottery competition in September. But, as always, you’ve got to be in it to win it!

And the more you enter, the bigger you win. The Beechley Lottery is just £1 a month or £12 a year per unique Beechley Lottery Number. You can buy as many numbers as you like, with no restrictions on the number of entries per person. If your number is drawn on the last day of the month, you will receive 25% of that month’s lottery income.

Beechley Stables RDA is a self-funding registered charity. Their aim is to provide recreation and therapy, through riding, to promote the health and wellbeing of disabled people.
