Student Rep Newsletter Issue 1 (15-16)

Happy New Year! Welcome to our first Student Rep Newsletter for the 15/16 academic year! I hope that you are settling into your role as Student Rep and that your training was useful in helping you complete your role. If you haven’t yet attended training then you can see the training material on My Collegehttp://my.livstu.co.uk/information/get-involved/studentvoice/student-representatives/ in Student Rep Resources or if you really want to, you can contact me @ Rachel.clarke@liv-coll.ac.uk / 0151-252-4880 to make an appointment for me to go through the training with you. Those who complete the training with me get a lovely student rep lanyard and a FREE NUS card worth £12. Following this is information that we would like you to share with your fellow classmates during time agreed with your tutor for example at the end of a lesson or you could print it out and pass it round. The next newsletter will be out in 2 weeks If you need any further help or information then please contact me (Rachel Clarke) Rachel.clarke@liv-coll.ac.uk or the Student Engagement Team SET@liv-coll.ac.uk or call 0151-252-4880.

Current Campaigns The Union are currently running two campaigns in response to student feedback. Over the past couple of years it has become apparent that some students would like to see free to use cash machines and self-service canteen spaces made available at certain college centres. To determine whether there is a demand for such services I have create two short surveys, please encourage students to take part in them:
