Ci impegniamo ad utilizzare solo legno massello, in particolare noce canaletto e rovere, proveniente da foreste europee, certificate e gestite in modo corretto e responsabile.

Starting from our vital material: wood. We commit to the use of solid wood solely, Canaletto walnut and oak especially, originated from European forests that are certified and managed correctly and responsibly.

Primordial techniques
Amiamo le cose fatte bene, come una volta. Da questa inclinazione è nata l’idea di creare mobili dove vengono ricercate, riprese e adattate antiche e primordiali tecniche artigianali. Per la linea Leonardo utilizziamo un incastro speciale, da noi brevettato, che ci consente di unire i vari elementi evitando l’uso di colla e ferramenta. La finitura naturale ad olio, inoltre, consente una facile manutenzione e il ripristino di questi mobili, tramandabili di generazione in generazione.
We have a deep love for well done things, like in the old times. From this inclination derives the idea of creating furniture where antique and primordial artisanal techniques are sought, employed and adapted. For the Leonardo collection we employ a special connection, patented by us, that enables us to joint the elements without the use of glue and hardware. The natural oil finishing also allows easy maintenance and restoration of our furniture, to be passed on to future generations.
Incastro Leonardo Leonardo joint
Arte Brotto è l’unica nel settore dell’arredamento ad utilizzare l’incastro Leonardo brevettato da Brotto Sante Giorgio, frutto di un profondo studio sulla progettazione sostenibile. Permette infatti di assemblare i vari elementi per la costruzione di un mobile riducendo al minimo l’utilizzo di colla e ferramenta. Il gioco di incastri Leonardo è ottenuto da una serie di lavorazioni del legno massiccio di noce canaletto realizzate con precisione millimetrica grazie a macchinari ad alta tecnologia. Gli innesti e le fresature che compongono questo incastro, non sono parti applicate, ma sono ricavate direttamente dal pannello massiccio.
Only Arte Brotto in the whole furniture field employs the “Leonardo” joint, patented by Brotto Sante Giorgio, originated from a deep research of sustainable design. It allows to assemble the elements necessary to the construction of a piece of furniture reducing the use of glue and hardware to the minimum. The Leonardo joint system results from the carving of solid Canaletto walnut precisely machined with the aid of high technology devices. The connections and the millings that compose the joint are directly cut from a soli wood panel, no additional part is added.

Con questo originale aggancio (creato e usato esclusivamente da Arte Brotto) e con le sue varie applicazioni sono stati progettati tutti i mobili della linea. Incastri sicuri e robusti riducono al minimo l’utilizzo di colla e ferramenta di giunzione, consentendo al legno, materiale vivo per eccellenza, la libertà di muoversi naturalmente.
The Leonardo joint is the result of a brilliant and innovative workmanship intuition. All the furniture of the collection has been designed with the use of this original joint and its applications (employed solely by Arte Brotto). Safe and solid connections reduce to the minimum the use of glue and hardware, allowing the wood, the ultimate living material, to move freely.

Tavolo Vero Vero table
Per realizzare un tavolo VERO è necessario avere a disposizione un ampio magazzino di legname di noce canaletto da cui poter selezionare tavole con le caratteristiche necessarie per diventare un tavolo VERO. Le crepe naturali sulle tavole di noce sono cucite e bloccate con asole in legno. Con pazienza e precisione, l’ operatore lavora una per una le tavole seguendone le peculiarità e adattando ogni asola al piano dove viene inserita. I bordi delle tavole sono puliti dalla corteccia senza modificare la naturale sagoma del tronco. Questo, insieme ad ogni nodo o crepa naturale, mette in risalto l’unicità e irripetibilità di questi piani massicci di grande spessore. To manufacture a VERO table it is necessary to dispose of an ample Canaletto walnut storehouse from which to select boards with the necessary properties to become a Vero table. Natural cracks on the walnut boards are sawn and fixed with wooden joints. With patience and precision the workman carves the boards one by one following their natural peculiarities and adapting every joint to the natural shape of the log. This, together with every node and natural crack, enhances the uniqueness and the unrepeatable character of these thick solid tops.
Tavolo Plus Plus table
Il pregio e il valore di un tavolo PLUS stanno nella qualità dei materiali usati. La robusta struttura dei piani dei tavoli è costruita assemblando in maniera artigianale due lastronature esterne di noce canaletto ed un anima massiccia centrale montata in maniera trasversale. Il tutto rifinito con un bordo in massiccio di 1 cm incollato a freddo. The worth and the value of a PLUS table is in the quality of the material employed. The solid structure of the table tops is manufactured assembling in an artisanal fashion two noble Canaletto walnut top layers and a solid core placed transverse. All finished with a cold glued 1cm thick solid rim.
