From exciting sea and snorkel cruises to sporting activities including cycling and triathlon and even a chance to immerse in to Nevis’ very own culture learning the art of Steel Pan, African Drumming and Dance techniques, the fantastic programme lined up for 2011 will keep families entertained throughout their holiday. In addition to all the fun possibilities, participating hotels and restaurants will be offering discounts and free child offers throughout the year. And that’s not all. In 2011, having a fun holiday is no longer limited to just an enjoyable day in Nevis. Tours and activities can also be arranged for a special getaway to sister island, St. Kitts. A Note for Parents and Guardians This booklet serves as a keepsake for children to record the activities they have in St.Kitts accomplished, and get their activity Nevis page stamped. Following each activity undertaken, or hotel or restaurant offer taken up, your Activity Provider will place a Stamp on their page as well as on the Stamp Page in the middle. Once five stamps are collected, send this page and the questionnaire to the address given and each child will receive a special Kids ‘r’ VIPs gift.

or an active holiday, join the Nevis Cycle and Triathlon Club and get more involved with residents and visitors while developing skills that will have you leaving Nevis with a great feeling of accomplishment.

Swimming and Cycling

Promoting a healthy lifestyle, the Nevis Cycle and Triathlon Club, as its name suggests, offers visitors an opportunity to participate in, as well as train in the sports of cycling and triathlon in a fun way. Kids ‘r’ VIPs participants will be offered Saturday morning swimming classes (starting at 9.00am) and Sunday afternoon cycling lessons. As an added challenge, racing opportunities are also provided periodically. Swimming and Cycling sessions approx. £18.00*.

As part of the Kids ‘r’ VIPs programme, the NCDF will be offering a range of cultural activities to keep families entertained. These include classes and live performances encompassing true Caribbean culture from Steel Pan and African Drumming to masquerading and traditional dance including The Quadrille and The Cake Walk. Even Clowning is included.

ounded in 2008 in an effort to encourage music into the lives of Nevis residents, the Scherzando School of Music now offers families exciting hour-long steel pan lessons as part of the Kids ‘r’ VIPs programme.
Activities
Parents and Kids on holiday in Nevis can take their steel pan lessons as well as learn about the importance of music without having to miss out on the beautiful Caribbean sun.

Steel pan lessons With its limited exposure and unique sound, steel pan lessons are a great opportunity to become more immersed into the Caribbean culture and are perfect for anyone with a special interest in music. Children six years and over with a growing musical passion will be able to expand their knowledge and develop their musical talents through this unique Kids ‘r’ VIPs activity. Family packages are offered Monday to Friday from 2.00pm 4.00pm at a rate of £10.00* for children and £19.00* for adults.
