Waterproof Shower Under-Tile By Marmox Ten Pilates, with five studios in some of the most prestigious areas in Central and West London have just opened a new studio in Hatton Garden which offers clients a dynamic energising exercise programme in the very smartest of surroundings. To maintain these high standards they instructed Main Contractor Boxx Projects to design and install five new shower cubicles, two for male users and three for female. Boxx’s plan for the new cubicles naturally started with basics – a means of providing a fully waterproof under-tile layer with high thermal insulation. Lightweight, easily handled Marmox Showerlay sheets perfectly answered these criteria and also offered ample strength to support the heaviest of floor tiles. Showerlay is manufactured with a polystyrene core and a doublereinforced surface compatible with all major tile adhesives. For the Ten Pilates contract preformed Showerlay sheets 1000mm square proved ideal and their built-in thin stainless steel sheet completely protected the centrally placed drains. The shower cubicle design at the Hatton Garden studio is delightful, with large-headed power showers set in well-appointed light coloured cubicles floored with anti-slip white mosaic tiles and the shower cubicle walls are in Newstone Beige tiles. The shower room itself has walls in a white finish with large matching floor tiles of Rock Anthracite installed by Tilers Trade Direct.
