Lingfield College Co-Curricular and Enrichment Programme 2023-24 2

Welcome This programme forms a core part of the Lingfield College experience, complementing the academic focus within the classroom, coupled with our pastoral care, to reinforce our whole pupil approach to learning. Our programme offers an exciting and inclusive range of over 100 experiences and opportunities designed to challenge, spark curiosity, develop ideas, nurture talent and prepare pupils for life beyond Lingfield. Music, Drama and Sport alongside numerous clubs and societies form the foundations of the programme. At the same time, leadership, cultural awareness and debate are provided through our popular Model United Nations and EPQ schemes. Trips and expeditions take the pupils around the world, whilst nearer to home, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme provides opportunities for adventure, new challenges and service to the community. Pupils are expected to take responsibility for themselves and make a significant commitment to the co-curricular life of the school. Each day of the week, time is set aside during the extended lunchtimes to allow our pupils to do this. Termly, pupils must choose to attend a minimum of 3 lunchtime clubs, however, are encouraged to participate in more, should they wish. This also extends to after school sessions too. It is commonplace to see various new clubs and activities added to the list which complement suggestions and ideas submitted by our pupils. Please have a browse through our programme, as you will see, there are many exciting activities to choose from. From a personal standpoint, I will always look to encourage our pupils in whatever they do, not only to develop upon their existing talents, but to provide an environment which allows them to challenge themselves and not be afraid to try new things. Mr Steve Casey, Director of Sport & Co-Curricular Activities

! Please note. Clubs and activities change throughout the School year. Students are issued a detailed timetable at the start of every term.
