Man

A surreal and touching drama written by Hannah Vincent. A school group visits the local museum for the day. Largely unsupervised, they explore the displays, argue, fight, flirt, occasionally do some school work, and one girl discovers a lot more than she expected from the central display in the Archaeology section - a 2,000 year-old bog boy. A new production by Do You Playhouse, an energetic locally-based group for the promotion of youth theatre. This production features a cast of 13 aged from 13-18 years, directed by Donna Ruane. “…vibrant and talented young group…a theatrical winner.” Connaught Telegraph

Uwe and Dirk are model railway enthusiasts. As they potter around their miniature world, one of them tells a story about a little boy who loses his toy dog on the train. Slowly the story takes over as the train heads for Warsaw and the boy’s father goes in hot pursuit. With the help of an amazing miniature train set, Germany’s Theater Handgemenge presents a virtuoso piece of fast-paced story-telling theatre based on a story by Hans Fallada. Brilliantly performed, dramatic, quirky and great fun. “Fabulous…works like a dream… beg, borrow or steal a ticket for Lords of the Railway.” Edinburgh Children’s International Theatre Festival

A warm and charming play about feelings, told with song, music and love by the Danish theatre company Det Lille Turnéteater. “A complete top quality production.” Thelma Good, EdinburghGuide.com
