IMPRESSIONS ABOUT MY WORK, CADIZ AND THE DRAGON. A poetry sentence can sounds inside my head as the tittle of a work not still done. Nearly as an order I try to do it, sometimes immediately, other times it can take me years... Then the chance to be exhibited is waiting and it is there where it has a conceptual sense... One could say that, in my work, poetry and concept are linked this way... The Dragon Year, exhibited in Rivadavia gallery, in Argentine Consulate in Cadiz, started to have a new sense (at least in my creative process) before being istalled in the gallery. Argentine artists, to get their work in a plane from a continent to another one, had to suffer a certain misadventure, because of this, as a challenge, I decided all the material should travel in two hidden very light folding cases. To avoid risks, in case it was lost in the way, I thought as I think the graphic work, in completely feasible to be reproduced modules , to generate a unique work which at the same time, can be disposable as confetti!! Dragons are transformation creativity reborn from his own ashes, leaving an old skin as a shake, to be renewed. The Dragon Eye, made with phone lists from 2001 in Argentina, an age of economical and social crisis. The Dragon Skin evokes an aged skin, change, taken into advantage as a prime material, for curtains... Graphic textures applied in serigraphy in holed silken paper create a kind of estrangement, we don't know what we are touching. The Dragon Tongue, made with moduls with alveolar structures in the garlands, invites the spectator to play with the appearance of this huge surface with invades the hall. Cadiz. The same day of the vernissage, Saturday noon, while we were sharing delicious wines and dumplings, all surprised, we could see through the big hall window where The Dragon Tongue laid, a group of children charging a big cross completely covered with violets and white flowers!!! What a conjuction of different sensations in an only instant, I said to me. Then, with the jet lag effect, I thought: how good it would be to dispose of a time without time, to create so strange and surprising moments!! As if the hours that in a magic way disappeared in the flight from Buenos Aires to Cadiz could be recovered only for that! Andrea Moccio
