From intimate festive lunches and afternoon teas to mid-week festive celebrations Lindeth Howe certainly does have it all. The magic of Christmas will come alive this year from the moment you arrive at the hotel. Join our friendly team for a festive season you will never forget. Meet up with old friends, or make new ones, and do as much, or as little as you like! Fine food, fine wine and fine company... what more could you need?
Your Christmas Break What a great time of year to come and visit. Our four-night package has all you need to enjoy the season of goodwill, with many guests returning year after year. This break is a firm favourite. Take it easy this Christmas with a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. 4 night Christmas Break Arriving on the 23rd of December 2024 Our break includes dinner, bed and breakfast each day, excluding Christmas Day which is a lunch service with a light buffet in the evening. What's included? 23rd December - Arrival Day Arrive at your leisure with your room being ready from 4pm. During your check-in, you will be given a ticket for Windermere Lake Cruises. Your 'freedom of the lake ticket' is valid for 24 hours from when you first use it. Don't head off to the lake too soon however as cream tea is served in the lounges between 3.00pm and 5.00pm, the perfect chance for you to get to know your fellow guests. Dinner is served from 6.00pm until 8.30pm with the spendid Pete Major on the piano throughout your meal. Then it is off to our in-house casino for an evening of laughter and games. Christmas Eve There will be a hearty cooked breakfast and continental buffet this morning served between 8.00am and 10.00am. There will be a bird of prey display and talk in the gardens between 9.30am and 10.30am (weather-dependent). The day is then yours to be spent at your leisure. This could be the perfect time to make use of your freedom of the lake ticket to enjoy the views until we have a little treat for you. Join us at 6pm in the lounges to enjoy carols from a local choral ensemble. Then it is time for an indulgent dinner in our restaurant served between 6.00pm and 8.30pm and we will be joined once again by the fabulous Pete on the piano. From 11:15pm we offer transport to church for midnight mass for those who wish to attend. Hot chocolate, mulled wine and warm mince pies await you upon your return.
Christmas Day The big day is here and so is a very special guest! Come and say hello to Santa before your later breakfast served between 9.00am and 10.30am with a glass of Bucks Fizz, you never know, if you have been good, you may get a little something special! The King's speech is shown at 3.00pm in the lounge with a traditional Christmas lunch served between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. At 8.30pm we serve a Ploughman's style buffet in the lounge. Boxing Day A hearty breakfast will once again be served between 8.00am and 10.00am, followed by a day at your leisure. In the afternoon, we will serve lovely cake and you can enjoy it with Tea or Coffee in the lounges from 3.00pm until 5.00pm. We will also have the marvellous Chris Cook magician who will amaze you with some close-up magic in the lounges. It is then time to enjoy your final evening with us and reflect on a wonderful festive break with dinner served in the restaurant between 6:00pm and 8:30pm. 27th December Breakfast is served from 8.00am until 10.00am. For those of you leaving us today, it is time to say goodbye to friends, old and new. Alternatively, you could stay a few more days and relax with our Crimbo Limbo break, or even stay and celebrate the New Year with us! New Year Break Celebrate with us and welcome in the start of 2025 in style. 2 night New Year Break 31st December 2024 to 2nd January 2025 Your break includes a Gala Dinner (Black Tie Optional) and a lovely relaxed dinner on New Year's Day. What's included? Arrival on 31st December Arrive for your New Year break with rooms ready from 4.00pm. When you check in you will receive the 'freedom of the lake ticket' for Windermere Lake Cruises. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from when you first use it. Don't rush off as we will be hosting a cocktail and cake afternoon in the lounges between 3.00pm and 5.00pm, the perfect chance for you to get to know your fellow guests. We will meet in the bar and lounge areas at 7.00pm and then at 7.30pm the piper will escort you through to our blacktie gala dinner to address the Haggis. Then follows an indulgent 7-course dinner accompanied by the Pete Major Trio - the bells will chime at Midnight as we say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025 welcoming the New Year with a glass of fizz. The piper will lead us all in a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne and then it's back to the dancefloor where the party continues until the early hours. New Year's Day We let you have a late start to the day with breakfast served between 9.00am and 10.30am to rest those partied out heads with a brunch style breakfast. Then the day is yours until 3.00pm when we will be serving tea, coffee and homemade cake in the lounges until 5.00pm. We will have a birds of prey between 3.30pm - 4.30pm A 3-course dinner is served in our restaurant from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
2nd January 2025 Time for fond farewells after breakfast which is served from 8.00am until 10.00am. We wish you all the best for 2025 and hope to see you all throughout the year.
