Looking back on 2025, what a great year! Our community thrived due to the dedication of staff and volunteers, with enthusiastic resident and tourist participation. We saw record attendance at volunteer events (300+ at 1 event!), new recreation programs with new faces (Theatre, Preschool Play, Outdoor Yoga!), and flourishing parks and trails. Pollinator Plaza bloomed while 9 trails, including the newest ‘World’s Shortest Park Trail!’, offered adventures for those looking for connection and well-being.

2026 is a time for even more fresh starts, and we invite you to include us in your life. Studies show that physical and mental health, and socialization, improve with recreation and the outdoors. We offer you many ways to join in with us and stay active! There is something for everyone, no matter your age or ability.
This year is especially exciting as we look forward to the completion of the final phase of Schooner Creek Discovery Park. In 2026, we will celebrate the 3 and final addition, which will include a covered multi-sports court, turfed multi-sports field, permanent pickleball courts, and walking paths. Following the opening of the accessible playground in 2024 and the event stage and lawn in 2025, this park will now be fully realized as a vibrant, inclusive gathering place for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.
