What does "Power" mean to you? Wow, such a powerful question! Well, to me, power means to have access, practice restraint, to go through with grace & to have authority. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: I empower purpose-driven women to gain clarity & avoid overwhelm so they can transform their experiences into Books, Book Brands & Businesses. I partner with these powerful visionaries as a midwife/coach to assist them in GIVING BIRTH to their purpose-filled vision. It's a beautiful thing when one can transform experiences into expertise and or a life-changing message. In doing this we are able to first empower that woman to see herself differently and embrace her personal power. Secondly, she is then able to see her experiences from a different vantage point. With this new lense, she is able to transform what was ugly and or negative into something beautiful by passing it on to empower others in her own unique way. In empowering one woman at a time we empower all those who she is called to. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Take the time to gain clarity. We often brush over this just as long as we have an idea. However, in order to build a solid foundation to ensure longevity, we must go further than just an idea. Be clear on everything you will need to run your business and then see how you can minimize it to reduce extra cost. Sometimes we purchase things we either don't need yet or don't need at all. Doing our diligence in research and or reaching out to an expert can help you avoid costly mistakes. What is next for you and your brand? We are super excited about our upcoming conference for female entrepreneurs called "Trailblazer Conference". We have hosted many mixers, workshops, and seminars but this will be our first conference. We felt compelled to create a NO-Fluff, safe space where entrepreneurs can be poured back into, in all areas of their lives, specifically for the Trailblazing entrepreneur. You know, those who are servant leaders, creatives, the innovative and those who may be the first entrepreneur in their families. I would love to connect with you all in person at our upcoming conference on September 19-21st in Atlanta. For details, you can find us on IG & FB @TrailblazerConference

What does "Power" mean to you? Power is providing a table for others to sit. It’s being an influencer. It’s being an effective leader. It’s encouraging and developing diversity of thought. Making a difference. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: I currently have multiple businesses. My primary business is The HR ER. It is a boutique HR firm for small, unconventional businesses. My purpose for my business is to arm small businesses and non profits with the same information as big corporations so that they can manage people and grow their business with a solid foundation. One employee lawsuit can ruin a small business. I want to give small businesses access at a rate that they can afford. My 2nd up and coming business is Purely Organic Cleaning Services. The name says it all. Most people feel that they need strong industrial products to clean their homes but these products are hazardous to our health. They are loads of products that are natural that are just as good. Using these products boosts our health and mood, creating a healthy and productive environment. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: A) It’s ok to start out as a side hustle. Just don’t forget about your purpose while working your 9-5. Use your job to finance your dreams. But you have to put in the effort. I was laid off, but it was the best thing to happen to me as an entrepreneur. It forced me to step up and go for what I know. B) Use your resources. The Small Business Development Center has opened so many doors for me. My counselor is awesome and very knowledgeable. She pushes me and makes me step outside my comfort zone which has propelled me to unexpected places. What is next for you and your brand? I’m working on monetizing my consulting business by creating online courses and ebooks soon. Also templates and checklists so that businesses who can’t afford a consultant can still have access to resources for their success. I also want to do more speaking engagements. For my cleaning business, I’m working on obtaining government contracts and then teaching others on the process. I am also thinking about relaunching my skin care line. (www.getpurelyorganic.com)

It is the ability to take charge and to lead efforts that directly impacts your daily functioning and others. Power is what most people want, but have to learn how to use.

The event and entertainment industry is fast-paced, intense and entails an immense amount of work, and as a result, I created the the Event Therapy Brand to provide support that assists all parties with an Event Growth Recipe that encourages a balanced work life, personal life and of course a fun social life. With our Event Growth Recipe, the Event Therapy brand is devoted to helping industry professionals become balanced and successful. Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: It is truly important for emerging and current entrepreneurs to believe in their ability to simply make it happen. It is very easy to get off track and seek advice from others who have made it look easy, but if you remember that you must work hard even when everything looks good then you will continue to see growth in your business. The track that you take in your business may not be like others, but if you build a recipe that works for you and your business then you will see the fruits of your labor. Specific business advice quite simply is 1. Never be the smartest one at the business table 2. build your organizational structure and leave room for change. Never ever be afraid of change in your business. What is next for you and your brand? What does "Power" mean to you?

In my opinion, the word "Power" means having the ability and strength to not only influence others but to make decisions and take courses of action that will bring about change either in a positive or negative way.

Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact:

My businesses are multifaceted. I consider myself to be a serial entrepreneur! I am a model, coach, motivational speaker, pharmacist and a financial literacy specialist. I thoroughly enjoy each endeavor and feel they represent different layers of who I am as a woman and individual. I believe my businesses make a positive impact by letting individuals know that it's okay to pursue more than one occupation/goal and you don't have to limit yourself or fit in a one size fits all box. I enjoy encouraging others by living my life unapologetically for me. I believe my example gives others the freedom to pursue their dreams and take a chance on themselves.

Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs:

Two pieces of advice I would give emerging entrepreneurs is to start where you are, with what you have and that it's okay to make mistakes. You will never ever feel 100% ready and adequately prepared with enough experience or with all of your resources. That's ok, just go ahead and begin. If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get started. As you continue to push forward the necessary steps and tools will align by faith. Mistakes are apart of life. The key thing is to gain wisdom and insight from them so you won't make them again. Don't be afraid to "fail" forward. The best inventions, discoveries, and breakthroughs all came through trial and error. Remember the person who is making mistakes is at least trying.

What is next for you and your brand?

The next steps for myself and my brand is to continue with ongoing exposure through public speaking and modeling. I plan to continue to foster relationships and build partnerships that will help me elevate to my next level. I want to continue growing each one of my unique entities with steady and consistent progress. Readers can support my businesses by sending me referrals for motivational speaking, financial literacy and/or coaching!

Failing forces you to adjust quickly and grow. It's never a failure but a learning lesson. Take action. As emerging entrepreneurs there is a tendency to over analyze and not take action. What does "Power" mean to you? Power means walking in your purpose and showing up as the representative of God that you are. It means speaking, thinking, acting, being and doing you in a way that honors your higher purpose. Power is all about owning your divine talents, gifts, and genius and sharing it unapologetically with the world. Tell us about your business and how it was designed to make a positive impact: The mission of Integrative Wellness is to teach holistic health and provide practical and implementable tools that help individuals learn how to nourish themselves from the inside out around the globe. I seek to help people consciously breakthrough limiting thoughts, habits, emotions and behaviors that keep individuals from reaching their highest potential. I believe that when this happens a massive shift occurs that will create a healthier world for all of God’s creations.

Share 2 pieces of business advice for emerging entrepreneurs: Get really clear on who you are, what you stand for and what type of impact you desire to make in the world. Also, it’s important for us to understand that this is not a sprint, but a marathon. There will be challenges along the way but we must stay the course. As entrepreneurs we understand that giving up is not an option. We have to stay the course with what God is calling us to do, knowing that His plan for us will come to pass. What is next for you and your brand?
