The Innovation Playground is a living lab for creativity and co-creation situated on the ground floor in the main building of

The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

A inspiring environment that serves as a playground for experiments, creativity and discovery; an incubator for new ideas. We’re going to disrupt patterns and ‘hack’ systems to create new ideas and possibilities. With our jam-packed programme with activities as workshops, lectures, hackatons, challenges and inspiration sessions we plant the seeds of curiosity that with some nourishment could grow into something that could be called innovation.

We welcome staff and students from The Hague University of Applied Sciences to look beyond their borders, we dare them to experiment and take up the challenge and find a solution to the so-called ‘wicked problems’ together with external organisations and citizens of The Hague. Every term we have an actvity programme around a new topic, open for everyone. We started with the theme gaming, this year we will dive into food, artificial intelligence, circular economy and sound. We can’t create this programme all by ourselves. So we invite you to co-create the activities with us, to ask awkward questions, to share your ideas.

In addition to the activities in the ongoing theme, the space can be used by lecturers, students and researchers for projects, workshops and further activities. Of course, innovative, surprising and multidisciplinary. This use can be requested via iPlayground@hhs.nl.
