wo days before the Dutch elections in March 2017 a heated

debate took place in the Atrium. Seven members

of the House of Representatives

(SP, PVDA, GroenLinks, D66,

ChristenUnie, SGP and VVD) were

challenged by journalist Joost Karhof to respond to different

propositions and tried to gain support from indecisive voters. The debate was the grand finale of the

programme Politics@TheLighthouse organised by The Lighthouse and the study association from Public Administration.

The programme also offered a

meeting about The level of humanity in politics, a debate between left and right with the political youth movements from PvdA and VVD, a

workshop on political skills, College Tours with members of the House

of Representatives and a visit to the political theatre play Idealisme is Hot.
