Hot - Hot - Hot! Summer is here!
Summer is upon us, and it's the perfect time to soak up the sun and enjoy all the outdoor activities our beautiful city has to offer. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a newcomer, there’s no shortage of fun to be had in Central Florida this season!

One of my favorite ways to embrace the summer spirit is by paddleboarding on our scenic lakes. There’s something incredibly peaceful about gliding across the water, surrounded by nature's beauty. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend you calling our new partner and schedule a tour in Winter Park or at the Springs. It’s a great way to stay active and cool off at the same time.
Of course, paddleboarding is just the beginning. Summer in Winter Park also means picnics in our lush parks, strolls along Park Avenue, and visits to the Farmers' Market for fresh, local produce. Our community is brimming with opportunities to make the most of the warm weather.
Don’t forget to check out the numerous outdoor events happening around town. From concerts in Central Park to outdoor yoga sessions, there’s always something exciting on the calendar. These events are a wonderful way to connect with neighbors and celebrate the vibrant culture of our city.
As we dive into July, let’s embrace the season and all the joy it brings. Here’s to a summer filled with sunshine, adventure, and cherished memories in Winter Park!
Stay Cool!

Paddleboarding in Paradise
Otter Paddle Orlando offers unforgettable experiences on the water!

If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to enjoy the natural beauty of Central Florida, look no further than Otter Paddle Orlando. This local paddleboarding company offers an unforgettable experience on the water, combining adventure, fitness, and relaxation in one fantastic activity.
Paddleboarding has quickly become a popular pastime for outdoor enthusiasts and casual adventurers alike, and it’s easy to see why. Gliding across the water on a paddleboard provides a full-body workout that’s as enjoyable as it is beneficial. It strengthens your core, improves balance, and enhances cardiovascular health, all while allowing you to soak in the stunning surroundings of Florida’s waterways.
Paddleboarding isn’t just a great workout—it’s also a fantastic way to connect with nature. Central Florida is home to a diverse range of wildlife, and paddleboarding offers a unique vantage point for observing animals in their natural habitats. On any given tour, you might spot turtles, fish, and a variety of birds, all while enjoying the tranquility of the water.
One of the most coveted tours with Otter Paddle Orlando is bioluminescence paddleboarding. It is an extraordinary experience that takes paddleboarding to a whole new level of WOW! Imagine gliding across the water at night, each stroke of your paddle illuminating the water with a soft, ethereal glow. This natural phenomenon, caused by tiny organisms called dinoflagellates, creates a mesmerizing display of light that sparkles with every movement. Otter Paddle Orlando offers bioluminescence tours in Cocoa that allow you to witness this magical spectacle firsthand. As you paddle through the dark, tranquil waters, the glowing trails left behind by your board and paddle make it feel like you’re a kid again. This unique adventure is a must-try for anyone

looking to experience the beauty and mystery of nature in a truly unforgettable way.
Another tour offered by Otter Paddle Orlando is right here in our very own Winter Park Canals. Embark on an unforgettable paddleboarding journey through the hidden gems of Winter Park! Imagine gliding across vast, glistening lakes, flanked by historic mansions and enchanting canals exuding an old-world charm. The lush tropical vegetation embracing the shorelines and quaint canals adds to the allure of this captivating landscape. This tour is also available as a sunset trip (makes for a great date night, guys!).
For those looking to venture a bit further, Silver Springs and Rainbow Springs offer fantastic paddleboarding experiences and make for great day trips from the Winter Park area. These iconic springs are renowned for their crystal-clear waters and abundant wildlife, providing a picturesque backdrop for your paddleboarding adventure. The pristine beauty and serene environment of these springs make them a must-visit for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Chair the Love
How one local organization is providing equipment and services to people with mobility issues
There is much to be learned from the discovery of one’s calling and the journey that leads them there. Who could have guessed a single trip would forever change the perspective of Glen Mather and the lives of handicapped individuals all around the world?
In 2004, Glen Mather’s life changed when he received an invitation to participate in a distribution sponsored by the Wheelchair Foundation in Mexico City. What began as a simple opportunity evolved into a transformative experience.
Witnessing the joy on individuals’ faces as they received mobility aids for the first time ignited a passion within him. Giving wheelchairs became more than just providing a means of mobility; it offered a chance at a new life. This encounter not only shifted his perspective but also sparked a call to action.
Glen followed his heart and got to work, collaborating with the passionate Jason DeBono and Barbara Welch from their Trust company in Orlando. They quickly began raising funds to reach an entire
container of mobility aid. From Hero Games to golf tournaments and even virtual dinners, they began attracting individuals with the same passion of restoring mobility to those who could not afford wheelchairs. These actions quickly paid off as they soon introduced Augie Byllot to their group, who then rallied his large group of real estate students and professionals to get involved.
Their efforts led to the establishment of Chair the Love, a licensed non-profit organization. Since then, they’ve significantly impacted lives by installing ramps, providing mobility devices to schools, and addressing the needs of handicapped individuals worldwide.
Chair the Love welcomes all interested in gifting mobility to join and contribute to creating smiles globally. Members embark on a journey that changes lives and offers fulfillment through impactful societal contributions. Whether actively participating or admiring from afar, they embody the rewards of discovering one’s purpose and effecting lasting change.

“The act of giving wheelchairs was much more than gifting a seat with wheels.” “

FASHION, FRIENDS, AND FUN ON

Winter Park VIP, Marissa Alexandra, and Winter Park City Magazine recently hosted a fun-filled Sip N Shop event that combined fashion, friends, and a little bit of adventure. The excursion kicked off with a luxurious limo bus ride provided by Limoventure, one of our partners, setting the tone for a day of style and shopping.
Anne Russo, from Russo Wine Company, our gracious wine sponsor, made sure everyone had a glass in hand to start the day with a toast to successful shopping, fun and friendship. Her selections were delightful and paired perfectly with our shopping day!

Our first stop was The Heavy, a trendy spot in Winter Park known for its unique vibe and eclectic mix of plants and home goods. Here, the stylish Marissa Alexandra shared her expert fashion tips with us, offering advice on how to freshen up outfits for the summer. Her insights were invaluable, and many of us left feeling inspired to try something new with our wardrobes.
Next up was Hemline , a new Winter Park gem that features a wide array of chic clothing and accessories. The store’s friendly staff made our shopping experience enjoyable, helping us find pieces that suited our personal styles. It was a great opportunity to explore new trends and add some fresh items to our closets.
Our third destination was Versona, where we continued our fashion journey. This store offers a variety of stylish and affordable options, making it easy to find something special. The atmosphere was lively, with everyone excitedly sharing their finds and trying on outfits. Marissa provided valuable advice on different styles and options that may have forced the group a little bit out of their comfort zone (myself included!).
We wrapped up our Sip N Shop adventure at the Hangry Bison, a popular spot known for its delicious burgers and relaxed ambiance. It was the perfect place to unwind and reflect on the day.
Overall, the Sip N Shop event was a resounding success. It was a day filled with style, shopping, and smiles, leaving us all eager for the next outing. Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with friends, events like these are a fantastic way to explore local boutiques and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. Cheers to many more fashionable VIP adventures!

MEET FABIOLA ST FORT: THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MAGIC AT PREMIER WELLNESS MEDSPA
Science Meets Beauty

PHOTOGRAPHY BY ANGELA ROBBINS, SHOT OF MOXIE
ARTICLE BY WINTER PARK CITY MAGAZINE

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START AN AESTHETIC & WELLNESS PRACTICE?
My mother was always my inspiration, watching her bravely come to the United States with 3 children by herself as a newly divorced single mother. Despite the stress, fear, and hardship she faced starting a new life for our family, she always took pride in how she represented herself. Growing up I would hear my mom say “figi ou se paspò ou” all the time, which the direct translation is “your face is your passport” and metaphorically it means “how you look & present yourself in society influences what doors will open and how far you will go”. Growing up, I naturally became attracted to glamor, whether it was hair, makeup, skincare, fashion, etc. But I also had an equal passion for Science which is why I chose being an Anesthesia provider as a profession. After I lost my mother from her long battle with Cancer, the memory of her beautiful spirit reinspired me to incorporate my passion for beauty in my medical practice. Premier Wellness Medspa is the combination of both of my passions: Beauty & Science!
WHAT DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN AT PREMIER WELLNESS MEDSPA?
We specialize in Aesthetic Medicine, IV Infusion Therapies, Vitamin Injections and Weight-loss Management. Some of our popular treatments include Injectables, PRP, Body RF + Cavitation, Liquid Lipo Shots, and Semaglutide. We believe in integrating health and beauty from the inside out from a holistic perspective. We also believe in educating our clients about their treatment options, establishing great communication and providing exceptional services while maintaining excellent customer service. We take pride in assisting our clients during their Beauty & Wellness journey!
