Lifestyle Letter

Dedicated to the men we love.

L

adies, last month was your time to shine. This month it’s all about the guys.

JUNE 2017 PUBLISHER

This issue of West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle is packed full of stories about amazing men who are helping to shape our community in a variety of ways.

Inside you’ll learn the stories of local entrepreneurs who create the ice cream we love, fix our cars with a caring touch and those who went from stay-at-home dads to brewers. We hope you’ll be inspired as you get to know a local philanthropist who’s a dedicated family man, a recent Lakota West graduate who is a CEO, and a young man who uses his craftsmanship to communicate what he can’t express through words. We also celebrate a milestone for West Chester, the fiftieth anniversary of the West Chester Police Department. These are just a few of the great stories you’ll find inside this Guys’ edition of West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle. As I write this, I am visiting with a very special man for what may be the last time. I am blessed to have both a kind and loving father and an encouraging and caring stepfather. My stepfather has been an integral part of my life since my teenage years. He’s losing his battle with cancer and may not be here to celebrate another Father’s Day. Growing up, he always challenged me to be strong in my convictions, and his influence is certainly part of what gave me the confidence to start this magazine. So, I’d like to dedicate this issue of West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle to my stepfather, Dave Sheets. Let’s raise a glass to toast the men in our lives who we love, both those here with us and those who have passed before us. Cheers to you guys and Happy Father’s Day! ALZHEIMER’S AND BRAIN AWARENESS MONTH Did you know that every 66 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s in the United States? A progressive neuro-degenerative brain disease, Alzheimer’s steals not only memory but judgment, identity, the ability to think, plan—and ultimately life itself. June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month (ABAM), an opportunity to join a global conversation about the brain, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Alzheimer’s Association is asking the public to join the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. On Wednesday, June 21, thousands nationwide will participate in The Longest Day®, a sunrise-to-sunset team event to honor those facing Alzheimer’s disease and to raise funds to support research efforts and local programs and services. On The Longest Day, an estimated 3,000 teams, including more than

Max, a Belgian Malinois, was recently donated by Shiver Security of West Chester and was partnered with Sheriff Joe Heideman of the Hamilton County Regional Narcotics Unit (RENU). Prior to joining the task force, Max was imprinted on narcotic odor for two months in Texas, and then trained for 120 hours in Cincinnati. In his first day on the job, Max made two busts. Shiver Security donated through the Matt Haverkamp Foundation, which was established in November 2005 in remembrance of K9 police officer Matt Haverkamp. “We chose the Matt Haverkamp Foundation because of the wonderful relationship they have with law enforcement agencies,” says Chip Shiver, owner of Shiver Security. lot can happen in 50 years. In April 1967, three Union Township Trustees shared a vision for police protection for its small farming community. Their motions for the purchase of one four-door Chevrolet cruiser, a used two-way radio and two revolvers with holsters were carried unanimously. That humble beginning has grown into the cutting-edge West Chester Police Department (WCPD), which celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year. “The radio was hooked up to a car battery,” Chief of Police Colonel Joel Herzog says, reflecting on the force’s history. “We’ve definitely moved from primitive times to where we are today, being one of the premier agencies in the region.” 20

West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle | June 2017

Started in the basement of the Union Township’s Fire House No. 2, West Chester Police Department is now based in an innovative facility at 9577 Beckett Road, West Chester. Since 1967, the department and its headquarters have grown exponentially, but its mission hasn’t changed. Now expanded to a trailblazing team of up to 84, WCPD is trained and equipped to serve the community, protect life and property, preserve constitutional rights and enforce the laws of the state. On a behind-the-scenes tour of the current police station, it’s a quiet moment. Uniformed and plain-clothed officers are busy at their desks, in a training session in a bright classroom at the building’s core or coming and going from its garage. It’s not always this quiet. When the force is called into action for an emergency, the station is a scene of readiness, each team member playing a part for which they have intensely practiced and trained. “Everybody’s got a role. It’s pretty amazing, when something happens here how everything comes together. You see everybody jumping in and getting their hands dirty. It’s pretty impressive,” Herzog shares. “It’s a whole-group effort,” agrees Lieutenant Colonel Brian Rebholz, Assistant Chief of Police. Like many other police departments around the country, West Chester Police Department has learned from pivotal events across the nation to prepare for any situations that put West Chester’s residents at risk. Over the past 50 years, there has been a steady modernization of the force which

includes an award-winning Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, snipers, negotiators, Canine Unit, school resource officers, criminal investigation team and a fleet that includes bicycles for patrolling high-density areas and a state-of-the-art Ballistic Engineered Armored Response (BEAR) vehicle. This benchmark year is marked with subtlety. Watch for celebratory license plates on each police vehicle as they patrol around town. The plates display the same “50th Anniversary” design featured on special-issued badges made to complement the police uniforms, shining in gold and black. It highlights

the coming together of Union and West Chester Townships. “Each of these badges was purchased individually by the officers,” Herzog explains. “There were no public funds used. None of these badges have a rank on them… we felt that this is a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the entire department so it’s for everyone, together,” he says. “Union Township, that’s where we came from—many of the guys who are here started under Union Township. We are proud of where we are and where we came from,” Herzog says. The West Chester Police Department is focused on training, education and building community partnerships as it leans into its next 50 years of service to the community. They lead with integrity, commitment, professionalism and courage. “It’s exciting to look ahead,” says Herzog. “The public will ask, ‘Do we really have crime in West Chester?’ They don’t realize what a compliment that is to us. If you feel safe, then we are doing our job.” June 2017 | West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle

DOGBERRY BREWERY BRINGS CRAFT BEER TO WEST CHESTER ARTICLE SHAWNA TAYLOR | PHOTOGRAPHY MICHELLE LLOYD

n the vast world of Cincinnati craft beer, West Chester holds one of the area’s best kept secrets, and this secret is meant to be shared. DogBerry Brewing is the only brewery in the West Chester and Liberty Township community to date; however, it is a standout in the industry thanks to the unapologetic passion of its founders, Chris Frede and Tony Meyer. Together, these former lab scientists began to use their skills on a different kind of science. Their motivation? They’re simply two men who love good beer. DogBerry Brewing, which is a combination of Frede and Meyer’s street address names—Dog Leg Court and Twinberry Court—is now in its third year and continues to grow. “We thought DogBerry sounded better than TwinLeg,” Frede says, as both men laugh. It’s an appropriate name that embodies their original home brew roots. Before it became the established brewery that it is today, DogBerry was simply two CONTINUED >

dads brewing beer over the stovetops in their respective homes. After crafting an IPA in 2012, their brewing adventure took off. Their individual passions for craft beer brought them together to form the perfect team. They would alternate between houses and spend time brewing on a weekly basis, something that continued for nearly three years. As the duo continued to brew at home, they would share their creations with their families and friends. Soon enough, people began asking if they could buy Frede and Meyer’s beer, and it was then they knew they were onto something. The decision to transition their passions into a business came naturally at that point. “We had the time, availability and opportunity. We were in a fortunate spot in the market for this type of business. It was just really starting to pick up and we got in very early in this area,” Meyer explains. “We have incredibly supportive wives. We took a shot at something and started it on a very small, bare bones budget and built it from the 26

ground up. There was very little risk. There was more risk to our pride than our money.” Because of steady growth over the past few years, DogBerry has outgrown its original brewery on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and is now moving to a much larger location on Crescent Park Drive, which is set to open in late May to early June. Though Frede and Meyer have achieved great success, they haven’t lost sight of their original passions for brewing. While money is a good thing, they have agreed that making money isn’t their main priority. Refusing to chase trends, they only make beers that they love and can be proud to label with the DogBerry name. “We make beer that we love, and we’ll share it with you if you want it,” Meyer says. It’s that unapologetic passion that makes DogBerry unique. DogBerry is truly the result of two local dads’ American dream. In addition to making beer that they love, Frede and Meyer have created an atmosphere at their brewery that is comfortable, classy and approachable. It’s the type of place that makes you feel good. “It sounds corny, but I love the American dream where you can be in charge of something and have input and figure out how you’re going to make it happen,” Frede shares. Meyer adds, “The fact that we can make beers that we enjoy drinking and see someone drink it and smile and say, ‘That’s really good,’ that’s the coolest part for me.” Stop by the new brewery for a cold craft beer and witness two guys’ American dream come to life. GOOD GUYS, GREAT WORK LOCAL MEN SHAPING OUR COMMUNITY ARTICLE SHAWNA TAYLOR & ABBEY MCMAHON PHOTOGRAPHY MICHELLE LLOYD & ABBEY MCMAHON

NICK BRANDENBURG JR. A YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR

Not only does Nick Brandenburg Jr. dream big, he knows how to make his dreams a reality. His entrepreneurial spirit sets him, an 18-year-old recent Lakota West graduate, apart from others his age. Brandenburg is founder and CEO of Forever Green Lawn & Landscapes. “When I was younger and would see my dad working in our yard, I always wanted to help. At age 13, a few of my friends and myself wanted to make extra money and one friend's mother suggested we start our own lawn business. After other obligations kept my friends from staying with the business, I continued with it,” Brandenburg explains. In 2014, at 15-years-old, Brandenburg registered the company with the state of Ohio, became insured through worker’s compensation and joined the Better Business Bureau, with which he now has an A+ rating. Brandenburg has been honing his business skills by taking on many responsibilities that most young men will not learn until after college. As CEO, he oversees a team that includes full-time employees, a staff that performs weekly maintenance and an office assistant. “I personally give all of the estimates and work directly with each customer in designing their new landscape,” Brandenburg says. “My favorite part of the business is watching the customer explain how

they want their yard or landscape to look and being able to accomplish that and see how happy it makes them.” Forever Green offers a plethora of services including cleaning flower beds, mulching, landscaping and weekly mowing and snow removal in winter months. The newest service to be added to the company’s lineup is stamped concrete curbing, and they are the only company in the tristate area offering this unique service. “Even though I was only 13 when I started my business, I had goals and dreams that have been met and exceeded every day thanks to each and every one of our customers,” he says with a smile. Brandenburg plans to attend the University of Cincinnati this fall, majoring in business with a minor in horticulture. He plans to continue growing Forever Green into a premier lawn care and landscape company in the tristate area. Even more than that, he hopes to inspire and lead his employees and invest in the future of others. “I might want to teach classes to younger kids who show an interest and let them know that they should never think their dreams can’t come true,” Brandenburg says. IAN MURRAY INSPIRED BY FAMILY

Home is where the heart is and Ian Murray, vice president of the Reach Out Lakota board of directors, has a heart full of compassion for his hometown. A native to the West Chester and Liberty Township community, Murray is passionate about living a philanthropic lifestyle and that passion is fueled by his love of his family. “I want to be a role model for my kids so they can see what it’s like to get involved, give back to the community and make a difference,” says Murray, who is a husband and father of two daughters. “I want to make sure the community I grew up in stays vibrant and sustainable into the future.” Reach Out Lakota serves families in need in West Chester and Liberty Township. The organization runs a food pantry and clothing closet for families, and hosts additional events throughout the year,

including Back to School, Thanksgiving and Christmas programs. While Murray recognizes that many people might not view poverty as a relevant issue in our affluent area, he emphasizes one point: anyone can fall on hard times. “We have clients who are working seasonal labor all the way up to people who live in $500,000 to million-dollar houses,” he says. “We serve everyone in the community. You never know when you’re going to need help. Families use our services to get through the bump in the road and then go on to be successful.” Murray is also able to give back to the community through his family-owned business, SpotOn Productions, a full-service corporate video production company. The company provides pro-bono videos for non-profit organizations throughout the year, and also sponsors various organizations. In addition to the work he does with Reach Out Lakota and his family’s business, Murray serves as board chair for the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty where he helps non-profit organizations receive funds to make their missions a reality. “I want everyone to know that there are ways they can get involved because it’s our community, and the more people get involved the better the community can be for everyone,” Murray says. “It pays it CONTINUED > forward and pays it back as well.”

GOOD GUYS, GREAT WORK (CON TI N U ED)

STEVEN WEBSTER SPREADING JOY Steven Webster is not your average carpenter. With each stroke of his hammer he constructs well-crafted products, but he also builds more than that. He shapes opportunities and fulfills dreams. At four months old, Webster was diagnosed with brain damage from an unknown cause, resulting in seizures and verbal apraxia. He is completely non-verbal and experiences delayed development, but with Webster’s story comes a message: everyone has a purpose and anyone can serve a meaningful purpose. “Our hope is that others will be able to realize that they can live rich and fulfilling lives doing what they were designed to do and being who they were created to be,” says Gail Webster, Steven’s mother. Steven's parents, Gail and Kevin, have adamantly sought after resources and education to help coach their son into preparedness for gainful employment. After attending Lakota West High School, Steven participated in Project Life, a two-year program designed to help students with disabilities gain job and life skills. The family received additional support from Butler County Board of

Developmental Disabilities, which educated them on the transition from high school into the working world. It was there they connected with Buckner Employment Service and Training (BEST), a private provider of job placement services for individuals with disabilities, and the organization that matched Steven with MiddTown Custom Cabinets, where he works in the woodshop. As a child, Steven loved hammering. His parents recall how he would hammer nails into a log and, when it was full, they would remove the nails and he would start again. When his job coach from BEST learned of his love for hammering, they began building projects together. The first project completed was the construction of a wishing well, which led to the birth of Steven’s Woodshop in 2010. Together they craft wishing wells, bee houses, bird houses and beyond. The Websters do not measure their son’s success by the amount of profit being made, but by his engagement with others. “People with disabilities are the same as everyone else. It’s not self-serving for Steven. To have him employed, he gets to work and serve other people in the community and be an encouragement to others,” Gail says. For more information about Steven and to purchase his work, visit Etsy.com/Shop/StevensWoodshop. StevensWoodshop.com

KEITH WREN As Keith Wren slowly swirls a cone back and forth, out comes creamy white vanilla ice cream and tangy orange sherbet, creating a perfectly cool and tasty summer treat. It’s his signature treat. And it’s what laid the foundation for this West Chester family-owned business, The Cone. Drive down Tylersville Road on a summer evening, and you’re guaranteed to see a swarm of cars and people in front of the infamous cone-shaped building. Try a bite yourself, and it’s easy to see why this homegrown business has become a staple in our community. “It’s nostalgic,” Wren says. “People grow up here and then they bring their kids back to The Cone, so now their kids’ kids are visiting. It becomes sort of a family tradition.” Keith and his father, Ken Wren, opened The Cone more than two decades ago, after having transported the physical cone building—in eight pieces––all the way from Florida. “My mom and dad were on vacation and spotted a cone-shaped building up for sale. We drove down the next week to buy it and haul it back to Ohio,” Keith laughs. The Cone opened in 1995 and has continued to produce homemade favorites for years. No stranger to running an ice cream shop, Keith grew up in the business when his parents owned K&W Creamy Whip on Wyoming Avenue. He recalls that his younger sister would sleep in her crib (appropriately fashioned out of empty cone boxes) in the back of the store. Since that original business in Reading, the Wren family has been making premium ice cream since 1973. Never compromising quality for quantity, they make many of their own products in-house and

“People grow up here...It becomes sort of a family tradition.”

RUNNING A COMMUNITY STAPLE use only name-brand candies and toppings. Not only is the infamous orange-vanilla swirl a homemade creation, but also the peanut butter, strawberry, Italian ices and many more. “Our orange-vanilla is a secret formula that my dad created at the original store,” Keith explains. “We grind up our own strawberries, pineapples, you name it.” And it’s working. The delicious business has grown immensely in two decades, now offering three walk-up windows, a drive-thru window and mobile cone units that make frequent appearances during summer community events. In its 23rd season, The Cone is now co-managed by its third generation of the Wren family—Keith’s daughter, Tabby. While Keith is still there each day, Tabby has been dutifully learning the ins and outs of her family’s business with plans to eventually run the community staple. “People always ask what it’s like to run a family business. I guess I’m just used to it. I started working here when I was 12—and got fired a lot,” Tabby recalls with a laugh. “It’s a unique place. A lot of smaller businesses don’t make it and we have.” The Wren family’s success can be attributed to two things: quality and service. “Every one of these [employees] in here right now is outstanding,” Keith says. “There’s not one in there who I wouldn’t keep forever if they wanted to stay.” Though he acknowledges it can be tiring, Keith is grateful to the community and his employees for embracing his business. “It’s a lot. It can be overwhelming night after night,” Keith says. “But it’s a lot of fun.” TheCone.com June 2017 | West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle

Driver’s Notebook

THE GMC TERRAIN PERFECTLY SIZED SUV FROM FIEHRER MOTORS ARTICLE MARK MOODY | PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

L

et’s admit it, there are some monsters on the road. I’m not talking about the people who cut you off or the semis that always seem to be in front of you when you’re in a hurry. I’m talking about some of the giant SUVs that seem more like a small bus than a vehicle that will fit in my garage. You also see some very tiny SUVs on the road that are so tiny, you wonder why those drivers didn’t just purchase a smart car. If you’re in the market for a new SUV but can’t find the right fit, the GMC Terrain might be just right.

36

West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle | June 2017

Spacious center console

I recently test-drove the GMC Terrain at locally owned Fiehrer Motors and found it to be big on features in just the right size package. Before I started the engine, I took a few moments to just sit in the car and take it all in. I’m a tall guy and it has a spacious cabin with a generous amount of legroom and headspace. To my surprise when I opened the center console, I found a cavern. No kidding; I could almost put my entire arm inside the spacious storage area, which is perfect for storing and charging technology. It can even fit a full-size laptop. On the road, the VVT (variable valve timing) engine provides an excellent combination of power and handling. The GMC Terrain displayed solid acceleration and handled like a smaller car. Other SUVs I’ve driven have made me feel like I was driving a tank. The Terrain still put the thrill of driving in my hands, yet maneuvered well at the same time. It did well around corners and made very tight turn arounds. I drove for a while without the radio turned on and noticed how incredibly quiet the interior was, both on and off the freeway. In addition, the Terrain’s suspension provided for an incredibly smooth ride. Next it was time to fire up the sound system. I turned on the radio and was greeted with an incredible sound show. No wonder the audio was so impressive– it’s provided by an 8-speaker, 250 watt, Pioneer sound system. Additionally, the GMC Terrain naturally offers the full array of today’s technologies, including back-up camera, navigation system, steering-wheel-mounted controls, USB connectivity, 4g Wi-Fi, and Intellilink. All of this technology is integrated into the middle console and can be controlled by the touch screen or manual controls that are conveniently located for easy access. After arriving back at the dealership after my test drive, I explored the rest of the vehicle. Much like the front, the interior in the back was spacious and provided plenty of leg room. I continued my investigation by opening the rear of the vehicle to find a large amount of storage in the back. The rear storage can easily be increased by folding down the back seats. If you’re in the market for a new SUV, I encourage you to stop by Fiehrer Motors in Fairfield Township and look at all the available GMC Terrain models. You’ll probably find one that is just right for you, and no one will think you’re a monster on the road. FiehrerMotors.com June 2017 | West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle

HOW TRAGEDY PAVED THE ROAD TOWARD PURPOSE

ARTICLE TOM MAY & ABBEY MCMAHON | PHOTOGRAPHY RICHARD ALEXANDER

N

early two years ago, Mike Campbell took a leap of faith by moving his family to West Chester to open the newest Christian Brothers Automotive franchise, located on Cincinnati-Dayton Road. After many years of working in service industries, Mike and his wife, Flo, were seeking a business opportunity that represented the highest standard of integrity and business ethics. They became familiar with the principles of Christian Brothers Automotive after having visited a location in 2010 near their former Atlanta home. “My wife was the one who actually took the car to that location. She called me and said, ‘You have to come and see this place.

38

West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle | June 2017

It’s not like any automotive center you’ve ever seen. It’s like a dentist office,’” Mike recalls with a laugh. “She said it was very clean with no grease and no grime. She hadn’t ever seen an automotive center like that. That’s what first sparked our interest.” Just four years before making the decision to embark on this new journey, their 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son were in a tragic automobile accident on their way to school. Their son, JJ, died from the accident. Mike says the aftermath of the accident shifted his priorities for himself, his wife, and their three daughters. “My wife and I wanted to do something business-wise that we could honor our

son and be true to our Christian faith. That was really the linchpin that led us to getting involved in Christian Brothers Automotive,” Mike explains. While their path to becoming franchise owners was unique, the quality and customer service they deliver to customers each day is standard across the company. Forged with faith-based principles of integrity and honesty, Christian Brothers Automotive has sought to change the way customers think about auto service by providing knowledgeable and genuine car repairs. Walk into their lobby and you’ll find a clean, warm and welcoming environment—or as some might say, “a dentist office.” With more than 160

locations nationwide, Christian Brothers Automotive is large enough to secure good pricing and talent, yet small enough to know you as a customer. “We want to be different than any other automotive repair service out there. We want people in the community to trust us and know that when they walk in the door they’re treated fairly,” Mike says. “We want to be proud of what we deliver. That’s what drives everybody here.” Personal integrity dictates how each customer is treated, but it also motivates personal involvement in the community. Mike explains, "We work in a variety of ways in the community. Giving back through charities, community groups and schools is a way to put our faith into practice through the work of Christian Brothers." With the guiding idea and biblical principle, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” Christian Brothers Automotive has been serving customers for more than 34 years across the country. It’s this “golden rule” that sets them apart. Visit their location and you’ll find Mike and his team onsite, building relationships with customers and the community. They strive to relate to customers so that can serve them the way they, themselves, would want to be served. “I’ve had a number of customers come here who knew what [Flo and I] went through and who have talked about the loss of their own kids,” Mike says. “Everyone has struggles. It’s just that we may be more inclined to talk to our customers or engage with our customers about the struggles they’re going through more so than most businesses.” Mike does not downplay how much his faith has driven him to this new path in life. He believes God led him to Christian Brothers Automotive and is thankful each day for the opportunity. “We examined every facet of our lives [after the accident] and decided that this was the direction we wanted to go,” Mike humbly states. “We really like it here. We are growing every month and love the diversity of the West Chester community.” CBAC.com/West-Chester

COMMUNITY FOR 95 YEARS UNITED WAY LAUNCHES ANNUAL CAMPAIGN ARTICLE ERIN PIERCE | PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

or more than 95 years, Butler County United Way has been creating a brighter future for those less fortunate in our community. By focusing on community outreach and positive impact through their mission of connecting and mobilizing resources, Butler County United Way is creating long-term solutions for individuals and families, ranging from education to financial stability and healthy living. They serve the communities of Liberty Township, West Chester, Fairfield, Hamilton, New Miami and Ross. Butler County United Way has been busy planning for the 20172018 campaign. According to Pam Cottle, Director of Marketing and Communications at Butler County United Way, the upcoming campaign will make a significant impact on our local community. “Butler County United Way focuses on the building blocks for a good life: education, financial stability and health. Our ‘campaign’ is really a year-round process that allows donors to pledge funds toward one of these three pillars,” Cottle says. “We do not fund agencies, but support programs provided by partner agencies across Butler County in these three areas of focus.” Throughout the year, Butler County United Way partners with organizations that not only share their values and goals, but also maintain stable leadership and are dedicated to making a difference in the community. These services vary from life and counseling services offered by Lifespan to after school programs provided by Boys and Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty. A Butler County United Way community partner agency, Boys and Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty is focused on core programs that include character and leadership development, education and career development, the arts, health and life skills and sports, fitness and recreation. Their goal is to offer programs and services that will engage a wide variety of youth in a way that will help develop them into responsible adults who give back to their community.

West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle | June 2017

“Breaking the cycle of at-risk youth begins with providing positive role models,” says Krystal Tipton, Director of Community Impact for Butler County United Way. “It takes a caring community to help raise awareness to further develop and positively impact youth. There are many ways to get involved with Butler County United Way. If you are interested in volunteering, Tipton suggests beginning with Community Building Block events. These events are available quarterly and focus on each of Butler County United Way’s buildings blocks of income, financial stability and health. Volunteers in the past have worked with a variety of local partner agencies such as the American Red Cross, The Father’s House and Edge Teen Center. Butler County United Way invites you to “Give, Advocate, or Volunteer” and join them in envisioning a community where all individuals and families achieve their potential through education, financial stability and healthy lives.
