MY KIDS GOT INTERESTED IN ROCK CLIMBING SO I TOOK IT UPON MYSELF TO SHARE THEIR PASSION AND CONSTRUCT A CLIMBING FEATURE ON THE SIDEWALL OF OUR HOME. Safety was the obvious focus, so the initial step was to double up on the rope holds and purchase high-end carabiners for the rope set, allowing for rappelling. These were secured through the brick wall and mounted with a metal interior plate. The next step was to install the bell for climb completion. The handholds were installed with mortar screws and reinforced with a quickset epoxy for additional support. Climbers are put on belay and begin their ascent. The home is for sale.
