Welcome to the premiere issue of Springdale City Lifestyle, a community-driven publication created to celebrate the people, places, and vibrant spirit that make our community such a remarkable place to call home.
Think of us as your source for anything and everything Springdale, Tontitown, and beyond. As you turn these pages, you’ll find yourself drawn into the rich cultural fabric, unique spaces, and inspiring stories that define these cities. From the rich history of Emma Avenue to the incredible flavors and traditions shared by our different communities, there’s always something new to discover.
This magazine comes from a deeply personal place. Springdale City Lifestyle began with a simple hope: to share the places I love with people across the state, and to honor the powerful stories woven into its streets and neighborhoods. I launched this publication during a season when my father’s illness reminded me to focus on what matters most — family, community, and connection. This publication has given me a way to hold onto those values and celebrate them through every story we tell.
In this inaugural issue, we invite you to see Springdale and Tontitown through fresh eyes. Beyond the familiar spaces, we’ve curated hidden gems and heartfelt stories that we hope will deepen your connection to these incredible cities. Thank you for letting us be part of your world — we can’t wait to grow alongside you.

Proud Springdale Resident
We recently bought our first home in Springdale and are thrilled to be near all the exciting things happening in Springdale and Tontitown.
We adopted our dog, Ducky, from Best Friends in September 2023. Named after the brave dinosaur from The Land Before Time, she’s a lovable rescue —even if she’s scared of just about everything!
DISCOVER THE WHIMSY OF THE WEST AT PAWS UP MONTANA
Favorably referred to as the “Last Best Place” and the “Treasure State,” Montana has captured the hearts of cinematic cowboys like Taylor Sheridan and Harrison Ford and inspired the television series, “Yellowstone” and its prequels, “1883” and “1923.” Though fictional, they’ve reminded America of its deeply-rooted spirit for adventure and the simple yet rugged way of life that we all crave. Whether its the backdrop of jagged, snowcapped peaks or the endless golden pastures that are peppered with livestock, this Rocky Mountain soil is a breeding ground for dreamers and doers, and the people who call it home are no strangers to the ritual of ranch life.
So, you want to be a cowboy? Slipping on some leather and having a little hide in your hat are good ways to start, but visiting a resort that brings the best of this life to the forefront, while also embracing modern luxury, is the experience of a lifetime.
Paws Up Montana sprawls the distance of 37,000 private acres of historic estateland, which houses a working ranch and 10 miles of Blackfoot river. Personalization is key—a divine selection of cuisine for the foodies, awe-inspiring activities for the adrenaline seekers, and world-class lodging that tickles every fancy from stargazing glamping, to timber-style family dwellings, to the uniquely designed green “o hauses” that invite the outside world in.

To change your attitude, you need a change in altitude. Gain some speed or turn up the adrenaline level with ATV tours, electric biking, mountain biking, go-karts, paintball, rappelling down Lookout Rock or whitewater rafting down the Blackfoot River. Indulge in the western art of living with archery, fly-fishing, hiking or sporting clays. For those who want to immerse themselves in the language of horses, there are horse-related adventures such as lessons, grooming or feeding, horse-whispering workshops or organized trails rides. Riders can also enjoy cattle drives that bring you back to yesteryear—driving a herd of cattle across the famed landscape—and bear witness to mustang gentling, where the Equestrian Manager communicates with a wild horse through body language and tone of voice. Skyline Aerial Adventure Park is another notable warm-weather activity, taking guests on two high-ropes courses.
Montana’s best kept secret? Our hideaway chefs, making waves from the Montana wilderness. Chef Brandon Cunningham, Executive Chef at the Green O, is a James Beard Award finalist whose creations at the Social Haus are highly curated through an 8-course tasting menu. Other highly trained and talented chefs like Chef Brett Edlund, Chef Ben Scott, Executive Pastry Chef Krystle Swenson, and Sunny Jin, the General Manager of Food and Beverage, are part of the intricate patchwork of the culinary experience at Pomp, Trough, Shed, Camp and the notable Chuck Wagon—a summertime treat where guests can ride a hay wagon along the banks of the Blackfoot River for an Old West-inspired chuck wagon dinner. The menu ranges from all-natural chicken and Tomahawk ribeye to fresh vegetables grilled over an open flame campfire.
Airport: Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) Airport transfers from Missoula are complimentary for guests and all luxury home and Green O accommodations come with a Lexus luxury SUV for transportation use on property.
Luxury Homes are categorized into preference-based properties that boast the thrill of wilderness living. For larger families and multigenerational groups, consider the Wilderness Estates. At 3,250-squarefeet, these estates sleep up to eight guests and feature three large suites with private baths. The Big Timber Homes are available in one-to-three bedroom options and come ornamented with fire places and private decks. The Meadow Homes are 1,100-square-foot single-story homes that sleep up to four guests, situated amid a pastoral and treed setting. For an extra nod of perfection, choose one of the luxury homes that comes equipped with a private tent—ideal for anyone traveling with children (or adults who beckon back their childhood!).
For a more primitive experience, Glamping Homes offer the right amount of canvas to create a close-to-nature experience. Available mid-May through mid-October, choose from river settings to creeksides, bluffs or cliffs. Each tent is adorned with something unique—a copper tub, a picturesque view of Lewis and Clark’s famous Lookout Rock and Western-chic furniture throughout. Zip down the windows to allow for the cool nightly breeze, yet enjoy the modern convenience of electricity. Each campsite has a dining pavilion. And don’t miss the s’mores boards around the communal fire pit, offered by your own s’moresologist—yes, you read that right, and yea, it’s a thing.
Lastly, but certainly not least, are the state-of-theart accommodations of the Green O hauses. This portion of the property is completely curated for those 21 years of age and older. It’s a resort within a resort, a hidden pearl in an oyster of experience. The Tree Haus is elevated 23 feet in the air and offers unparalleled forest views. The Green Haus includes a skylight above the bed for an unmatched view of pluck-emfrom-the-sky stars. The Round Haus has curved, floor-to-ceiling windows that offer 180-degree panoramic views. Both the Green and Round Hauses are dog friendly, too, so Fido can rest in the lap of luxury. The Light Haus is illuminated by skylights and unique glass design.
If you bank at Signature Bank, you also bank at Banco Si!
In the heart of Springdale, Arkansas—where old neighborhoods meet new businesses and where traditions blend with progress—there’s a bank that is more than just a place to manage your money. Signature Bank, through its bilingual branch, Banco Si!, has become where financial empowerment meets cultural connection, and where customers are treated like neighbors—because they are.
For Eddie, the bank’s Springdale-based loan manager, the story is deeply personal. He moved to Springdale in 1994 as a fourthgrader at Elmdale Elementary School, and since then, both he and the city have grown up together. After earning a degree in finance from the University of Arkansas and spending time commuting between Fort Smith and Springdale, Eddie knew where he belonged. “Springdale is my forever home,” he says with conviction. He now lives, works, and raises his family here in the same community that welcomed him as a child.
That kind of rootedness shapes the bank’s philosophy. Being locally owned isn’t just a business structure; it’s a mindset. “One of the greatest perks,” Eddie explains, “is that bank decisions are made by people who live here and know what Springdale is about.” The staff

at Banco Si! live in the community, attend the same events, and support the same small businesses as their customers. “Everyone knows everyone. You’re kind of embedded into that community,” he says. That sense of shared experience and mutual support defines the way Banco Si! operates every day.
Community banking is built on relationships, not just transactions. At institutions like Banco Si!, the bank’s success is directly tied to the success of its customers and neighbors. That’s why Banco Si! prioritizes financial education, local investment, and one-on-one support. They offer a model of banking that’s responsive, personal, and designed to serve the customer—not just their account. This deeper connection helps build economic resilience and ensures that financial tools are accessible to everyone, not just the well-connected or financially savvy. It’s banking with heart, and with intention.
That personal touch is what sets Banco Si! apart from the big national names. Customers don’t get transferred from one call center to another or wait endlessly for help. “You call your banker,” Eddie says simply. A major part of that personal touch is language. Banco Si! was created to serve Springdale’s Latino community with bilingual support that goes beyond translation. “It’s a double whammy,” he says. “We can speak the language and truly understand our customer’s needs.” That cultural fluency builds trust and helps ensure nothing gets lost in translation—not the details of a loan, and not someone’s financial goals.
The bank’s physical growth also mirrors its mission to meet people where they are. The Emma Avenue location, opened this year, expands
Signature Bank’s presence beyond its original Rogers branch. “This city has grown. The traffic has grown a lot. We wanted to be more convenient and helpful for our customers,” says Eddie. Emma Avenue was a natural choice, both for its walkability and its role as a hub for small businesses. With this expansion, the bank becomes even more accessible to families and entrepreneurs alike, offering an easier path to trusted financial services.
But it’s not just about banking. It’s about community. Banco Si! is deeply involved in local life, from sponsoring nonprofit events to helping organize cultural celebrations. You’ll find them flipping burgers for 1,000 people at Cinco de Mayo, supporting Latinas wanting to get into biking, or hosting Dia de los Muertos with folkloric dance and mariachis. “We don’t just show up. We bring the food, bring the family, and bring the culture,” Eddie says. “It’s truly a family bank, not just a business.” These events foster pride, inclusion, and a sense of belonging that transcends banking.
While the events are festive, the bank’s mission is serious: helping the community build wealth and confidence. Eddie leads loan operations for both the Springdale and Rogers branches, and finds great joy in helping people start with something small and grow it into a lasting success. “It’s incredibly rewarding to teach people how to invest, use their assets, and tap into equity to grow their wealth,” he says. “Watching someone go from their first loan to expanding their business—it’s a lot of fun.” His work helps families build generational assets, and local businesses turn dreams into stability.
The team around him is strong and experienced. Eddie’s been at the bank for over a decade, and colleagues like Aleyda bring nearly 16 years of service.
“Between all of us, it’s a good, experienced team. We care deeply, and we’re here to stay.” That consistency means customers see familiar faces and build lasting relationships, not just accounts.
This year, Signature Bank and Banco Si! are celebrating their 20th anniversary, and it’s more than just a milestone. It’s a reminder of the long-standing trust they’ve earned in the community. Two decades of service have reinforced their commitment to being more than a bank—they are a partner in growth, a source of stability, and a voice for inclusive financial opportunity.
For Eddie and his team, the real celebration is the everyday work of helping people grow. “If you bank at Signature Bank, you also bank at Banco Si!” Eddie reminds us. It’s not two separate worlds—it’s one mission, united by a belief in Springdale’s people, its future, and the value of being right here, together.

Downtown Springdale is humming with new life these days. Once a quiet stretch of empty storefronts, it's now become a mosaic of local businesses and gathering places where neighbors and strangers alike pull up a chair. It's a district reclaiming its soul—one brick, one story, one small business at a time.
Nestled in the heart of this cultural rebirth is Odd Soul, a bar and eatery that's more than just a place to grab a drink or a bite—it's a third home. The kind of spot where faces become familiar, stories are shared with laughter or pizza and beer, and the pace of life slows so you can connect with those around you. From the outside, it might look like another hip pub in a growing downtown, but ask around and you'll find Odd Soul is something special: a place that exists just as much for its people as it does for its plates.
And the story of how it came to be? As Jeffro, the owner, puts it with a grin, "I tripped and fell, and here we are."
The story of Odd Soul really begins with a casual invitation. Jeffro never saw himself running a restaurant, but life has a funny way of guiding us where we're meant to be. While living with his cousin in Springdale years ago, he became neighbors with the founder of Core Brewing. One thing led to another, and he started helping out, learning the rhythms of brewery life. The industry, with its blend of hard work and hospitality, began to pull him in.
“IF I’M GOING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO MAKE MY LIFE AGAIN, IT’S SPRINGDALE.”
Ironically, for the owner of a bar known for its beer on tap, Jeffro isn't much of a beer drinker. Whiskey is more his style. But that outsider perspective sparks creative thinking—like the time the brewery had too much pumpkin beer left over after the holidays. Instead of dumping it and calling it a loss, they distilled it into moonshine, which was "surprisingly great," as Jeffro put it.
Before Odd Soul ever opened its doors, Jeffro found himself on another continent, soaking up a culture that would later shape the life he's building in the
United States. While living in the United Kingdom, he fell in love with the rhythm of pub culture—the way people stopped in daily, not just for a drink but for a connection, and a sense of community. The neighborhood pub wasn't a destination, it was a constant. A "third place" that wasn't home or work, but a vital in-between where people could simply be.
When he returned to the States, life needed a reset. For Jeffro, that meant finding a place that felt like home—a community built on connection, warmth, and care. "If I'm going to figure out where
to make my life again, it's Springdale," he says. His vision was to create a modern-day version of Mayberry from The Andy Griffith Show —a tight-knit town where people look out for one another not just because they're neighbors, but because they genuinely care. This dream was shaped not only by classic pub culture but also by the spirit of the sitcom Cheers , "where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came."
Odd Soul brings that vision to life, not just through its food and drink, but through the relationships it fosters and the stories it helps write. In a rapidly growing city, it offers a place to pause, connect, and feel at home—where comfort, community, conversation, and a sense of belonging always matter. Springdale is lucky to have Odd Soul.

Learning a new skill together, or sharing a favorite hobby, is a great way to bond. If Dad likes woodworking or fishing, finding a class to attend together goes beyond gifting tools and allows fun.
Enjoy a movie night together with popcorn, candy and all the fixings. Home movies enable strolls down memory lane, or one of his favorite movies from his childhood makes for fun conversation. Ordering a projector for a large format screening makes the movie night feel extra theatrical.
Take the food pressure off Dad and invite local culinary experts to prepare a meal. A fun theme, based around his favorite vacation, such as Hawaiian food, will make the evening memorable. Alternatively, try a local cooking class together based on his favorite cuisine.
Brainstorm childhood memories together and enjoy a day reliving them. If he chaperoned a trip to the zoo, experience it again together. If short on time, stop at a favorite ice cream stand and tell him how much you cherish the memories.
A Look at The Man Cave
ARTICLE BY EMILY FOSTER INTERIORS
Ok ladies, for those of you that live with your man and are not too keen on his collection of deer heads or affinity for all things Chicago Blackhawks, then let me help you create his very own man cave, that you and he can be proud of.
CONTINUED >
With how a man cave is usually done in mind, there are plenty of ways to make this hideaway both agreeable and full of style. I always start with what is most important to your man and 9 out of 10 times it is comfortable seating. So, with that in mind, I start with smart seating. Do we need a sectional? Can we get away with a cool reclining chair? Do we need Barstools? Comfortable, durable, and stylish seating is my jumping-off point.
Next, of course, there will need to be a TV for gaming and/or sports watching. Try and get him the size he wants, if it can work in space and not be too obnoxious (ladies, you’ll thank me later) because this is all men truly care about. He gets his big TV, then you have more of an opportunity to get what you want in the rest of the house. It’s a win-win.
Lastly, without getting too “theme-y,” I organize what he loves and treasures into a gallery wall. I recently did one wall of really cool wallpaper for a husband that was a huge Star Wars fan. It was a black and white Star Wars print that gave this aficionado a fun way to bring his subject matter and style together.
No matter who you are or what you like, I believe every person needs a space where he or she can relax, breathe and be joyful in. Man Caves are no exception.
