From my own experiences traveling to different cultures, I have come to appreciate my friends and family more than ever before. She invited Caleigh to her yoga studio, and after a few classes, Caleigh discovered that practicing yoga was drastically improving her struggles with anxiety and depression. She embraced yoga as the perfect mental health tool to keep her body and mind healthy, ultimately becoming a yoga instructor to share this restorative practice with others.

GUIDING T R E E YO G A Caleigh's studio, Guiding Tree Yoga, places a significant emphasis on mental health. They offer regular classes and unique workshops, such as Yoga for Grief and Yoga for Stress and Anxiety, taught by both yoga and mental health experts. Yoga activates the body's relaxation response and can improve additional mental health issues such as depression and PTSD. It helps release stress and tension, returning a person to a state of wholeness, love, and acceptance. Joining a yoga community can provide much-needed social interaction and support. They recognized the strong connection between physical activity and social intelligence in children and wanted to create a program that would allow Ella and other children to interact with each other through fun activities. To achieve this, they brought together a team of experts in pediatric occupational therapy, child development, sports physiology, and physical education and developed a program based on the latest scientific research on child development. Now, KidStrong is open in the West End of

Richmond, ready to empower and inspire the community’s youth. Owned and operated by Rich and Amy Young, KidStrong helps children develop physically and mentally through 45-minute classes. The curriculum focuses on four key areas: physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. During each class, children learn essential physical fitness, character development, and brain training skills. They also learn teamwork, leadership, and confidence-building skills through socialization and public speaking. The program emphasizes the importance of parental involvement, offering science-based coaching combined with tips and resources for the entire family’s success. KidStrong provides a comprehensive child development program that sets children up for success in the present and the future.
