My family is my inspiration. I have a wonderful husband and we have three chil dren at home - 4, 6, and 13. Being a mother impacts how I practice law and interact with clients. On many of our cases, a family hires us to help a loved one after a traumatic experience. Clients often say things like, "you understand, you're a mom." I never take that trust and responsibility lightly. It's the question, "What if this happened in my family? What would I need from a lawyer?" MIRIAM: We are very approachable and com passionate when interacting with clients. Clients often tell us how comfortable they feel at our office. We serve people who are going through a traumatic experience, so it's important to be a safe and welcoming space. At the same time, we are very aggressive and creative in our litigation style. We take on difficult cases, and working as a team is really critical to our success. We typically repre sent people who have been wronged or hurt, and we need to be strong for them.
MIRIAM: I have proud moments all of the time. We have a truly incredible team here. I often get emails and messages from clients or former clients thanking us for helping them through a difficult time. What really stands out is when clients tell us how we made them feel comfortable, respected, and reassured. A client’s teen ager once told me he wanted to be a lawyer because he saw how we helped his mom. I am very honored that people put their trust and faith in us.

Members are encouraged to attend the annual tech session led by mechanic and British car specialist, Bruce Woodson, which covers topics like wiring in old British cars, how to take care of the paint on your car, and how to rebuild an engine. Bruce is highly regarded nation wide among classic British car enthusiasts and has led numerous roles at CVBCC with his wife, Carol, who serves as Club Secretary.
