After all, isn’t that what the season is for… to gather with family and friends and celebrate the year past and the present moment. However, so much emphasis is placed during the holidays around “gifts” and shopping and the LIST… ahhh the dreaded list of gifts which never seems to end. Well, I want to challenge each of you to add one more gift of your time or talent to your list for someone who you may not know as well, or someone in need. I am so proud to be a part of this magazine and their unrelenting philosophy

We see in this issue the true meaning of the phrase “giving is so much better than receiving.” From tiny grassroots efforts that blossom into something bigger or to enormous impact a simple pair of socks can make. No matter the size of the giving, the impact of gratitude can’t be measured. That to me is what the holidays are about and need to be about. We have so many examples of this in our community and my hope is that this seed of giving is watered, nurtured and grows into each of your hearts going into 2019. WHEN THINKING OF THE HOLIDAYS AND ENJOYING AN EVENING WITH FRIENDS IT OFTEN ENTAILS A COCKTAIL AND SCRUMPTIOUS APPETIZERS WHILE THE SMELL OF CINNAMON AND SPICE LINGER IN THE AIR. While gathering with friends one evening with Mrs. Pucker someone thought it might be interesting to see if adding Mrs. Pucker’s Limon Mixer to a couple shots of the cinnamon whiskey that someone had poured would make an interesting drink.
