Welcome to the World of Style, Beauty and Grace

This September issue is packed with stylish, inspiring stories from across Roswell that celebrate and explore the fascinating world of style. Style is not limited to the clothes we wear or the way we adorn ourselves. It encompasses every aspect of our lives. From the way we decorate our homes, as you can see really fabulous home decor on pages ..... to the music we listen to, from the books we read, to the way we carry ourselves in conversa tions, style permeates every facet of our existence. It is the thread that weaves together the tapestry of our lives.

Style is deeply personal. And it evolves as we celebrate our quirks, our passions, and our desires. Style is a form of self-expression that communicates who we are, how we perceive the world and what we value. In this way, style becomes a powerful tool for connection. Our cover story on page... brings a unique styled local designer and a place, The Southern Post,  for those who appreciate art, design and good food and drink together to celebrate this Roswell landmark.

As individuals, we have the freedom to embrace established styles, blend them together, or forge entirely new paths, becoming trendsetters ourselves. We hope this issue inspires you to forge new paths or perhaps explore familiar ones. There is so much here in Roswell to uplift our spirits, boost your productivity and ignite your creativity. The style of giving back is a huge source of influence in our town as well, as you flip through our pages each month we shine a spot light on nonprofits around town.

What I’ve found is that the best style is an authentic expression of who you really are. And that’s something no one on earth can duplicate. Please continue to support our local businesses that adorn the pages here within and I hope to see you around our town soon!

Striving For Financial Fitness

Build strength in your body and your bank account with smart strategies for lasting physical and financial wellness

Just as we strive to be physically fit, we aim to be financially fit. Becoming financially fit requires a similar path to being physically fit. Much depends on our stage in life and our goals. As we enter each new phase, we are building on the foundational strength in earlier phases, even if we must play a bit of catch up at times.

EARLY LIFE STAGE:

Physical Fitness Goals:  Exercise regularly - Eat a balanced dietHave regular medical exams - Foster healthy sleep habits

Financial Fitness Goals: Seek a career that suits you-Stick to a budget - Save for big purchases like a home - Pay off debt - Invest wisely

MID LIFE STAGE:

Physical Fitness Goals:  Vary exercise routines - Push through comfort zones - Foster endurance and strength - Assess your wellness - Stretch, address any injury

Financial Fitness Goals:  Take on more career responsibility - Maximize savings - Prepare for large expenses - Optimize asset allocation - Manage through setbacks

LATE LIFE STAGE:

Physical Fitness Goals:  Adapt your workout routine - Shift to lower impact exercise - Explore clubs and group activities - Stay sharp with games and books - Enjoy travel and adventure

Financial Fitness Goals: Review your financial plan - Consider your risk allocation - Discuss your plan with family - Keep up on tax rules and economy - Enjoy your retirement plans

Remember to reward yourself as you progress through your goals: a eucalyptus steam or massage after a tough workout, a travel getaway to a beach or a new city during vacation time, it will restore you!

Ryan Williams has been designing professionally for more than 20 years, but the seeds were planted long before that. “Growing up, I was immersed in the world of home design. My dad was a custom home builder and my mom handled the design selections for his projects,” she shared. “Many weekends were spent visiting tile showrooms or touring homes under construction.” That early exposure along with her degrees in Furnishings & Interiors and Music Performance from the University of Georgia, led to a career she truly loves.

Today, Ryan owns Artisan Design Studio in Roswell, offering full-service interior design from new builds to final styling touches. “We guide every step of the design process,” she explained. “Our team is equipped to source, curate, and procure everything needed to bring a space to life, both inside and out.”

Ryan brings an approachable, down-to-earth style to every project. “Our clients are real people with busy lives, and we're here to help them navigate the challenges of creating a home that is both beautiful and functional,” she explained. “What truly distinguishes us is our ability to work across an array of styles, ensuring that every design reflects the client's unique personality.”

“LIVING IN A PEACEFUL, WELL-DESIGNED SPACE IS ONE OF THE MOST MEANINGFUL FORMS OF SELF-CARE.”

This summer she expanded the studio with a storefront that blends design services, retail, and events. “I’ve also always loved a unique home store, and wanted to bring a diverse retail option to Roswell,” she said. The new space is eclectic and intentional. Timeless with a twist.”

From design-forward furniture and faux florals to lighting workshops and mahjong nights, Ryan loves to connect. “We plan to host a new event each month, alternating between purely fun gatherings and educational workshops,” she shared.

“Living in a peaceful, well-designed space is one of the most meaningful forms of self-care. And hiring a designer doesn’t complicate the process. It simplifies it. We’re here to make life easier and your home feel like you.”

AUDREY KITTILA:

LEADING WITH FAITH AND SERVICE AS MISS GEORGIA 2025

BY TRAN BUI
Crowned Miss Georgia 2025. Sheldon Smith Photography

For Audrey Kittila of Milton, the Miss Georgia crown is more than a title; it’s a platform to live out her faith and inspire change.

“My faith is where I find my hope and my joy. My relationship with Christ has given my life purpose. I always tell people that my life’s purpose and goal is to ‘Know Christ and to make him known.’ Anything I get to do is an opportunity to touch the lives of others, that is the ultimate blessing.”

Her commitment to serving others is also seen through her initiative, Education for All , which works to reduce school dropout rates in Georgia. By partnering with nonprofits and speaking to thousands of students across the state, she encourages young people to stay in school and discover the value of education.

“A high school diploma (or GED) provides someone with the chance to choose a career that excites them. I want all students to have the option to pursue what brings them joy.”

With faith as her foundation and education as her mission, Audrey is using her voice to make a lasting impact. When her year as Miss Georgia comes to an end, she plans to keep serving in new ways.

“I will continue to live a life that is focused on service. After this year, my role will look different, but I will get the chance to continue supporting students in my career field and in my personal volunteer work. The mission to make a difference will continue!”

The Art of Intentional Style:

Step into a space designed by Ronald Jones and you’ll quickly realize, this isn’t just interior design. It’s expression through texture, silhouette, and detail. As the founder and creative director of R Jones Designs, Inc., Ronald blends timeless European elegance with modern ease. In this issue devoted to fashion and style, he opens up about how his approach to interiors is deeply connected to the way he dresses and ultimately, how he lives.

ARTICLE BY TRAN BUI PHOTOGRAPHY BY ALBRIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY Inside the World of Ronald Jones, Interior Designer & Creative Director
“Style is a language. It’s how we express identity, creativity, and mood—whether through interiors or clothing. Fashion, like design, tells a story. It reflects how we show up in the world.” — Ronald Jones, Interior Designer & Creative Director

WHERE THE STORY BEGINS

Design wasn’t his starting point, but it quickly became his calling. “My journey began with a love for art, architecture, and the way people live and feel in their spaces,” he shares.

A turning point came when he landed a project manager role at Tyler Perry Studios, where he discovered how to tell powerful stories through space.

“It taught me the importance of storytelling through design.”

From luxury home renovations to curated commercial environments across Atlanta and Florida, Ronald honed his signature style over the years. Launching R Jones Designs was a natural next step.

FASHION AND INTERIORS: DIFFERENT CANVASES, SAME VISION

To Ronald, clothing and interiors are cut from the same cloth-literally.

“Style is a language. It’s how we express identity, creativity, and mood—whether through interiors or clothing,” he says. “Fashion, like design, tells a story. It reflects how we show up in the world.”

His personal wardrobe mirrors the philosophy he brings to his work: elevated, but effortless with a mix of modern edge and old world elegance. His ring for example is an  8 carat emerald cut diamond eternity band. The ring stacked above it is from Tiffany & Co., a meaningful graduation gift from his professor. He wears both of them daily, and they hold deep sentimental value.

“Our signature style is transitional European. Think classic silhouettes, layered textures, natural materials, and bespoke details that feel luxurious yet grounded.”

That same intentional layering shows up in what he wears. “I love a suit with a subtle pattern or texture, crisp shirt, standout loafers and of course my custom Stetson hat. Polished, elevated, effortless, yet bold.”  Gucci, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Hermès and Louis Vuitton are also his some of go to designer looks.

THOUGHTFUL STYLE, DAY TO DAY

When asked how someone can take their wardrobe up a notch, Ronald’s advice is clear: “Invest in great tailoring. A well-fitted blazer or coat can instantly upgrade any look. Pair that with a signature accessory like a great watch or sleek sunglasses and you’re set.”

Lately, he’s enjoying how current trends are echoing a classic from the past. “I’m loving the return of bold tailoring—structured blazers, wide-leg trousers, and clean lines. It’s confident, classic, and always makes a statement.”

Custom Hat: Maufrais, Austin, TX
Cartier bracelet. Rolex. Sentimental stacked rings. Worn daily. Always meaningful.

Accessories, he emphasizes, are more than afterthoughts. “They are punctuation marks of any outfit or interior. A great bag, a vintage watch, or bold sunglasses can turn something simple into something memorable.” He pulls from both high fashion and unexpected labels to create his own look. His two necklaces reflect that as well. He wears a custom 4-carat diamond Riviera necklace from The Seven in New York City layered with another custom 18 carat gold paperclip chain with a 2 carat baguette “R” pendant.

“Tom Ford is my go-to for classic tailoring. Versace is perfect for those nights when you want to stand out. Casablanca nails the elevated country club aesthetic and believe it or not, ASOS Men and Abercrombie & Fitch are great for elevated streetwear when styled with intention.”

THE CREATIVE CROSSOVER

The relationship between his wardrobe and his interiors is fluid. “They constantly influence each other. A luxe fabric I see on a runway might inspire a custom sofa. Likewise, the mood of a room I design might influence how I dress.”

For Ronald, inspiration is everywhere. “Travel, art galleries, old films, street style, even nature. I’m always observing color palettes, materiality, and the emotion that beautiful things evoke.”

While he pays attention to current looks, he keeps his foundation rooted in personal taste. “I take inspiration from

trends, but always filter it through my own lens. The key is knowing what speaks to you and letting trends accent, not define your style.”

A LIFESTYLE THAT DRIVES DESIGN

Ronald’s philosophy of "quiet luxury" extends beyond his interiors and wardrobe, it’s even reflected in his choice of car.

“A Bentley is the ultimate expression of timeless luxury and performance. It’s not just a car, it’s craftsmanship, presence, and attention to detail. That’s exactly how I approach design.”

After years behind the wheel of a G-Wagon, he made the switch when the streets started to feel saturated. “I wanted something different, something that made a statement and aligned more with my personal brand of quiet luxury and individuality.”

Ron's stylish reflections in design

ROOTED IN ROSWELL

Although his design projects take him all over the region, Ronald feels at home in Roswell’s vibrant creative community.

“Roswell has this amazing blend of charm, culture, and creativity,” he explains. “The energy is inspiring; it feels both elevated and welcoming, which is how I want my work to feel too.”

The rooftop at The Southern Post and its surrounding spaces offered the perfect backdrop for this fashion forward shoot, blending character and style right in the heart of Roswell. Pictured alongside Ronald is local resident Lily Lobuglio, who showcased four distinct looks featuring dresses sourced from local boutique Wedding Angels. The result was a stunning mix of elegance and personality.

Ronald Jones reminds us that fashion isn’t just what you wear, and design isn’t just what surrounds you, it’s about how it makes you feel.

JW DESIGN

JW Design seeks to educate, guide and create relationships that last a lifetime through trust and integrity.

The Wood Family loved fly fishing, hiking, camping and enjoying gorgeous landscapes in Idaho but were drawn to the South to be closer to family and decided Roswell was what felt most like where their roots had blossomed. With a move to Georgia, came a burgeoning business that would grow into a family legacy poised for generational greatness.

“We’re here to help people create something meaningful in their lives, a home that brings them peace, comfort, and joy.”

Founded in 2008, Owner/General Contractor, Joe Wood would develop his family run business JW Design, into not only a company that builds and renovates beautiful homes, but a company that values trust, integrity and relationships above all else. Joe relays, "We're not in this to chase jobs, we're here to help people create something meaningful in their lives, a home that brings them peace, comfort, and joy."

Joe’s background in design, drafting, engineering, and surveying, including a long list of certifications has made him an expert in vision and creativity. With a background leading large-scale commercial builds, boutique hotels and high-end residential communities, Joe felt the same level of accuracy, safety and project management should also be shared with individual families who are either renovating or building a new home. "I knew we could take what

we learned from big developments and use it to protect and guide homeowners through the process. Because whether it's a multi million dollar building or a kitchen remodel, it matters deeply to the people living in it," states Joe.

His superpowers also include an amazing knack for walking into a space and instantly knowing how to transform it, on budget, while not compromising beauty, aesthetics and functionality. To Joe, every renovation is a puzzle and he prides himself on formulating the best way to capture the homeowner's vision in a way that is high-impact and cost effective. No tiny detail is overlooked as his perfectionism lends to a unique ability to manage properties fastidiously, while solving problems with precision.  Because of this talent, he is known to work closely with realtors and their clients to help identify homes

with hidden potential that others might not see. "I have a passion for breathing new life into properties. I love helping buyers see beyond what is, to what could be, guiding them through smart, budget-conscious updates before move-in day. I also enjoy making spaces safer and more accessible with Agein-Place solutions for current homeowners, often uncovering opportunities for tax advantages along the way," says Joe.

With all of this talent and expertise, it's easy to see how these traits might have rubbed off on Carson Wood, Joe's son. In 2023, Carson officially joined the business and always had a love for flipping homes and buying real estate. He realized with the advancement in technology with AI, 3D design, and project management that he could add another level of support that would impact people's lives in a tangible way. Leading the back office management of projects, Carson brings energy, compassion and a keen eye for details that clients know they can rely on. "It's not about the tools or the tech," he says. "It's about making sure families feel supported every step of the way. That's what I care most about."

With Carson's strong leadership, it allows Joe more time to give back to the community. One of Joe’s biggest frustrations is hearing stories about remodeling jobs gone wrong — whether it's miscommunication, poor craftsmanship, or even structural mistakes that compromise the home. Just recently, he helped a family whose new countertops and doors were beautifully installed — but the contractor failed to reinforce the structure underneath, which caused the floors to sag.

Joe believes that most remodeling issues stem from lack of knowledge and clear communication up front. While he can’t take on every project, he’s passionate about helping homeowners ask the right questions before they hire a contractor to prevent a costly disaster.

For example: When you ask if a contractor is licensed, do you know what kind of license they need — and what it actually covers? Are you requesting a to-scale layout before work begins, so you can be sure everything you expect is included in the bid? Do you know why a contractor might ask you to pull the permit instead of doing it themselves? (Hint: that can be a red flag.)

Joe estimates that 85% of homeowners don’t fully understand the risks they face in a remodel. While most projects turn out fine, the ones that go wrong — unpaid subcontractors, code violations, or poor-quality materials — have real consequences. That’s why Joe has made it his mission to help homeowners and contractors build smarter partnerships rooted in transparency, quality, and trust. Because when price is the only deciding factor, the hidden costs show up later — and they’re often much more expensive. For the Wood Family, it's not construction, it's care; and this lasts long after the dust settles.

"Joe and his team are the most detail-oriented, thoughtful people we have ever worked with. We started as clients and contractor, but it turned into something so much more. We consider them lifelong friends." -Barbara and Wilson Snyder, Horseshoe Bend

Joe has created a checklist of Smart Questions Every Homeowner Should Ask Before Hiring a Contractor. These are the same questions he uses to guide clients and protect them from costly surprises.  Roswell City Lifestyle is partnering with JW Design to make those available in an upcoming feature, "Twenty Questions You Should Ask your Contractor Before Signing the Dotted Line".   Visit: https://www.jswdesignbuild.com/

WHERE WELLNESS MEETS STYLE AND BEAUTY: EXPLORING THE POWERFUL CONNECTION BETWEEN INNER HEALTH , OUTER BEAUTY AND CONFIDENT LIVING

RADIANCE INSIDE OUT

Amanda Arbertelli enjoying her best life

Meet the women of Prestige Medical Spa who are delivering results where modern medicine meets modern beauty, and feeling good becomes your new normal.

AMANDA ALBERTELLI  SHARES HER EXPERIENCES AS A PRESTIGE MED SPA CLIENT.

I was at Alive after 5 in Downtown Roswell and I had been looking for some place new that I ACTUALLY trusted with Botox and Fillers. I talked to the ladies there and got their brochures and came and met Cuyler. At Prestige Med Spa, I had laser facials, IPL’s, BBL’s and Biote. I was never happy with fillers before and didn’t realize how good lasers could be and the positive effect they have until I found Cuyler. I did not want to have “filler face”; I just never felt comfortable in my own skin with filler. I love the confidence I have gained from the laser treatments. It’s safer, it’s natural, and my confidence has been restored.

Biote treatments have restored me from the trials, tribulations, and depression of menopause which I have been trying to battle naturally for over two years. I can actually sleep now, I am not having night sweats, bad moods, and hot flashes. I didn’t want chemicals in my body, and I had never heard of Biote before Cuyler introduced me to Caroline. I am no longer sweating profusely, and I am happy!

Doing one treatment in sequence after the other treatment has helped my confidence  and I have not had to distort myself with chemicals to regain the feelings and looks of my youth, this is done NATURALLY. The way I was feeling last year around this time is a complete transformation. My work colleages, family, and especially my daughter have noticed how much happier I am. No  more mood swings or snapping at people. I am well rested. I am now encouraging my daughter and all my friends to get Biote treatments along with the other treatments that I found so life changing because it has helped with my over all wellness as a woman.

CAROLINE HYDRICK, FNP-C — BEAUTY, BALANCE & CONFIDENCE TAILORED TO YOU

Modern women want more than a one-size-fits-all approach to their health and beauty—and Caroline delivers exactly that. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in hormone replacement therapy, weight management, and aesthetic injectables, Caroline brings a fresh, personalized energy to women’s wellness. Her passion lies in helping every woman reconnect with how she  wants to feel—energized, confident, and completely herself.

Caroline takes the time to understand women's body, symptoms, beauty goals—and builds a plan that reflects the whole picture. For many women, that means restoring hormonal balance to address things like low energy, brain fog, stubborn weight, or mood changes. With bioidentical hormone therapy, she creates treatment plans that are customized to your unique rhythm and goals—designed to help you feel more like you again.

But Caroline’s care doesn’t stop at internal wellness—it continues with the art of enhancing what already makes you beautiful.

“WITNESSING THE MOMENT MY PATIENTS SEE THEIR REFLECTIONS RENEWED—IS NOTHING SHORT OF MAGICAL.”

Ihnatenko Supports Women in Many Ways on Their Journey to Self-Confidence Through Her Work

COMBINING ARTISTRY, BEAUTY WITH HER HEART

Lulu Ihnatenko, is a Licensed Tattoo Artist, PMU Artist & Esthetician in Marietta Lulu's story began in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she worked as a receptionist at a beauty salon. She immediately fell in love with the environment — being surrounded by beauty professionals and seeing how their work uplifted clients really inspired Lulu. That’s when she had the realization that she wanted to move beyond administration and pursue a hands-on career helping people feel confident and beautiful about themselves.

To provide the best possible care for others, she completed medical training in Ukraine. This gave Lulu a strong foundation in anatomy, hygiene, and client safety. After relocating to the U.S., she began rebuilding her career by first obtaining licenses in permanent makeup and tattoo artistry. Then, in late 2024, Lulu graduated from an accredited esthetics program in the state of Georgia and became a licensed esthetician as well.

Q: CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND AND HOW YOUR JOURNEY IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY BEGAN?

A: My journey began in Kyiv, Ukraine, where I worked as a receptionist in a beauty salon. Being surrounded by professionals who helped clients feel more confident inspired me deeply. I soon realized I wanted to do more

LuluIhnatenko

than administrative work and began pursuing a hands-on career. I completed medical training in Ukraine, gaining strong skills in hygiene, anatomy, and client safety — which I still apply every day.

Q: WHAT HAPPENED AFTER YOU RELOCATED TO THE UNITED STATES?

A: I moved to the U.S. less than two years ago and was determined to rebuild my career. I earned licenses in permanent makeup and tattoo artistry, and in 2024, I completed an accredited esthetics program in Georgia. In March 2025, I opened Lulubeautylux Studio in Marietta. I now offer fine-line tattoos, natural-looking brows and lips, and advanced skincare — all personalized to my clients’ needs.

Q: WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT WORKING WITH AMERICAN CLIENTS?

A: I truly love working with my American clients. They are incredibly warm, respectful, and open. Many of them share their personal stories and trust me with meaningful

projects. I feel a deep connection with them, and it brings me so much joy to help them feel confident, understood, and cared for through my work.

Q: YOU’RE KNOWN FOR YOUR COMMUNITY WORK. CAN YOU SHARE MORE?

A: Yes, I offer free brow restoration and symbolic fine-line tattoos for women recovering from cancer. Many have lost their eyebrows to chemotherapy or seek tattoos that represent strength and healing. I provide these services as a volunteer, from the heart, because I believe beauty can restore confidence and emotional balance. Supporting these women is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT?

A: I blend modern European techniques with U.S. safety standards, combining artistry with medical knowledge. My services are

minimalist yet expressive, enhancing natural features while also offering emotional healing. Clients often say they feel seen and supported — not just beautified.

Q: HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR WORK CONTRIBUTING TO THE U.S. BEAUTY AND WELLNESS INDUSTRY?

A: I bring an international perspective and raise care standards through advanced techniques and client education. I also plan to mentor future professionals, focusing on ethics, emotional intelligence, and technical skill. My vision is to grow Lulubeautylux Studio into a space of innovation and community wellness.

Q: WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY?

A: Transformation. A tattoo or restored brow can shift how someone sees themselves. I witness powerful moments of healing and self-acceptance. It reminds me that beauty is about feeling whole. I’m honored to help women feel strong, confident, and seen.

Before and Afters

DESIGN THAT SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

HOW EMORA DESIGN STUDIO TURNS INSPIRATION INTO INTENTION

When it comes to creating homes that feel deeply personal and effortlessly elegant, this Atlanta-based design firm delivers with flair. Founded by Radhika Vydianathan and located just a short drive from Roswell, Emora Design Studio specializes in providing a five-star experience across renovations, new builds, and whole home furnishing projects.

Their philosophy is clear and compelling: “We craft globally inspired homes that celebrate individuality.” The name Emora comes from the emerald gemstone, symbolizing renewal, individuality, and timeless beauty. It’s a narrative that perfectly frames their design approach. This global yet deeply personal design vision comes to life through three signature styles: Contemporary Retreat, Transitional French Haven, and Global Chic with midcentury flair.

MEET RADHIKA VYDIANATHAN FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Radhika’s journey into design began with a childhood fascination with Egyptian architecture and a love for visual storytelling. Her firm reflects her belief that great design should elevate your lifestyle, spark meaningful connections, and “transform your space into something as exceptional as it is enduring.”

Working with her feels less like hiring a contractor and more like teaming up with a thoughtful collaborator. She listens closely to your stories, needs, and the pieces that matter to you, then translates that into a home that truly reflects who you are.

Forget cookie-cutter interiors. Emora creates homes that are personal, full of character, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. It’s about craftsmanship, care, and creating a space that feels just as good as it looks.

STYLE 1: CONTEMPORARY RETREAT (MODERN)

PROJECT EXAMPLE: KINGSLANE II, ROSWELL, GA

Kingslane II is described as “A Contemporary Retreat.” This style blends clean lines and calming neutrals with richly textured finishes—think sleek furnishings paired with luxurious rugs, layered lighting, and eye-catching stone accents.

“EACH HOME TELLS A DIFFERENT STORY. WE DESIGN WITH THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE IN MIND, NOT JUST THE SPACE.”
—RADHIKA VYDIANATHAN, FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

It’s modern living reimagined, with open layouts, seamless indoor and outdoor flow, and serene palettes that feel anything but sterile. The key is balance. Bold architectural elements are softened by warm woods, cozy textiles, and curated art that reflects the people who live there.

With Emora, high design also means high comfort— the kind of space that feels sophisticated yet livable.

STYLE 2: A FRENCH-INSPIRED HAVEN (TRANSITIONAL STYLE)

PROJECT EXAMPLE: THE MANOR HOUSE, MILTON, GA

The Manor House in Milton showcases Emora’s transitional style, blending classic French detail with modern ease. Soft, refined palettes meet relaxed silhouettes and layered textures. The result is elegant but still welcoming.

Porcelain hardware, carved wood, and tailored upholstery are balanced by clean surfaces and casual furniture. A gilded mirror over a sleek console, billowing drapes against streamlined floors— every detail feels intentional and effortlessly chic.

This style captures timeless elegance while keeping things fresh and functional for everyday life.

STYLE 3: GLOBAL CHIC (ECLECTIC / MIDCENTURY MODERN)

PROJECT EXAMPLE: A FUSION OF TWO CULTURES, BROOKHAVEN, GA

Global Chic shines in Emora’s Brookhaven project, aptly named “A Fusion of Two Cultures.” This look combines midcentury modern pieces with globally sourced materials, from earthy woods and textured fabrics to cultural accents collected with care.

The master suite is defined by a “refined palette of black and white complemented by warm wood hues and earthy accents.” It’s mature, serene, and infused with a nature-inspired calm.

Picture a walnut credenza styled with Moroccan textiles, rattan pendants hanging above sculptural art, and lush greenery bringing softness to sleek finishes. It’s midcentury at the core, enriched with worldly expression and soul.

But it’s not just the final product that sets Emora apart—it’s the journey. With mood boards that tell a story, consistent communication, and a commitment to “service with heart,” clients are always at the center of the experience.

The result? Homes that don’t just look beautiful, they feel like they belong to you.

Rooted in Roswell

Being a part of something bigger brings a sense of belonging

There’s something about Roswell that just feels like home. Maybe it’s the way neighbors show up when it matters most or how folks at local businesses remember your order after just a few visits. For me, one of the clearest reflections of Roswell’s spirit is Alive in Roswell—that energy, that sense of belonging, that moment you realize you’re not just passing through a place. You’re part of something bigger than yourself.

My family and I moved here in 2019, and from day one, we jumped in with both feet. Our two sons go to public school here. We run a small business here. Most weekends, you’ll find us at the farmers market on Saturday mornings, strolling about in one of our many beautiful parks, or catching up with neighbors at a local event. As PTO President at Sweet Apple Elementary, I’ve helped coordinate Parent Teacher Organization efforts raised thousands for school safety improvements, and spent more hours than I can count navigating red tape to get things done.

I want Roswell to stay the kind of place where families can put down roots and thrive, where kids grow up knowing their neighbors, and where decisions reflect the priorities of

the people who live here. I serve as the Chief Financial Officer of a multinational company and co-own a local business, so I know how to balance big budgets and solve problems without drama and fairly. I care what happens to our neighborhoods, our schools, and the small businesses that make this city as lovely as it is. Roswell can grow in a healthy, lasting way if we maintain sight of what makes it special.

I see that spirit all around us and every third Thursday on Canton Street. I see it at the Arts Festival, and every year at the Youth Day Parade. There are so many places where we have that spirit of community. I love Roswell.

ONE CHILD AT A TIME

ROSWELL-BASED FOUNDATION PROVIDES HOPE AND HELP

In neighborhoods throughout Georgia—including right here in Roswell— thousands of children are removed from their homes each year due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. While foster and relative caregivers step up to offer safety and love, meeting the full range of these children's needs can be overwhelming. That’s where the Foster Care Support Foundation (FCSF) makes a vital difference.

Headquartered in Roswell since 2000, FCSF helps ensure displaced children experience a nurturing, stable daily life—even in the wake of trauma. The foundation provides free essential items like clothing, shoes, books, toys, school supplies, and infant gear to children in both foster and kinship care, easing the financial burden for caregivers and helping kids grow emotionally, physically, and socially.

Central to this work is the Foster Cares™ Distribution Program, which serves eligible children year-round with age-appropriate necessities. These children include those in formal foster placements, youth transitioning out of the system, and those in kinship care with grandparents, relatives, or close family friends.

A fact that may surprise many in our community: more than 90% of the children served by FCSF are not in state custody and have no DFCS (Division of Family and Children Services) caseworker. These children, placed informally with relatives or friends, often receive no financial assistance—making them Georgia’s unsupported displaced children. They are at the very heart of FCSF’s mission.

It’s also important to know that FCSF is not part of DFCS, and caregivers do not need a referral or caseworker to receive help. Many families in Roswell and across the state may not realize they’re eligible. FCSF wants them to know you don’t have to be part of the state system to access support.

Through a compassionate, community-focused approach, FCSF reaches thousands of families each year. The Grands Raising Grands Holiday Wish Program ensures children in kinship care have a joyful holiday by matching them with donated gifts. Meanwhile, Prom-a-Palooza invites teen girls in foster or kinship care to select formalwear, shoes, and accessories—so they can attend prom feeling confident and celebrated.

“What a gift to foster families to have this care”

Beyond its programs, FCSF actively collaborates with schools, nonprofits, faith communities, and government partners to identify children in need. As Roswell-based foster mom Jami Stocks shared, “What a gift to foster families to have this care—with so much to think about, especially in the early days of a new placement, this takes away a heavy burden!”

FCSF is not government funded and is run mostly by volunteers. It’s supported through your financial and in-kind donations, and all resources go directly to helping children. With deep roots in Roswell and a steadfast mission, the Foster Care Suppor Foundation continues building brighter futures—one child at a time.

To donate, volunteer, or learn more, visit www.fostercares.org or call (770) 641-9591. Follow FCSF on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube

The Ultimate Stylish Vacation

Where in the world can you find thousand foot waterfalls, rainforest-canopied rivers, twenty-foot orchids and Mayan ruins just three hours from Atlanta? If you ask Beth Clifford, Founder, Owner and CEO of Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club, a Curio brand, she will reveal the intimate Caribbean country of Belize possesses all of this and more, which captured

her heart twenty years ago. Ms. Clifford asks, “Where else can you roll out of bed and be swimming with Nemo in ten minutes?”

This was exactly the type of activity Ms. Clifford and her associates were searching for when they began the hunt for a property located in a natural setting with world class activities, culinary delights and luxurious

Best of Belize, Showcased Shrough Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club

surroundings, fueled by passionate locals and the love for their country. After eleven years of procuring the property, planning, constructing and designing, the resort opened in 2017 and is now the largest in Belize.

Walk through the resort and discover the 19th century British Honduras architecture displayed throughout the property. Rich mahogany sourced in Belize and lovingly crafted by locals covers floors and accents spaces in an effort to stay ecologically accurate. From the “Great House” to the villas, cottages and beach club, this sentiment is evident throughout the property. “I wanted to build a product that presents the country of Belize to guests, using local resources, materials and the labor of this great country”, says Ms. Clifford.

This same time and attention is also evident in the amenities offered, from the highly experienced and trained staff to the smallest of details. This is what sets this world-class property apart from the rest. No one knows this better than Richard Evanich, Managing Director of

Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club. From a family of twelve where you had to “fight for your seat at the table of eight”, Mr. Evanich learned early how to stand out. He inherited his hospitable spirit from his mother, along with the love for cooking and a natural gift for making friends and guests feel welcomed and comfortable. From dishwasher to managing many ultra-luxury properties over forty years, including the Ritz Carlton and Waldorf Astoria, Mr. Evanich caught the attention of Ms. Clifford. A dynamic working relationship formed instantly, rooted in their shared vision for crafting the perfect guest experience at Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club.

For seekers of the ultimate in luxury and tranquility, the resort offers a full-service spa that serves as a sanctuary of relaxation. No worry if you don’t want to shake off the sand and visit the spa, you can enjoy mini spa treatments on the beach as you sip a sumptuous cocktail, soak in the rays and watch the tide come in.

For the perfect family bonding experience you can charter Blue Bone Fishing

and their crew right from the resort’s marina, catch your favorite fish, spear the lobster you’ve been craving or dive for that conch you can sample right on the boat. At sunset, the crew will happily grill your catch of the day on the beach as you listen to the band and take in the night.

Adrenaline seekers and groups may love the opportunity to charter a plane ten minutes from the resort, view Thousand Foot Falls from the plane, then land at one of the Coppola Hideaway properties and take in the rainforest’s beauty over a glass of wine or tasty rum cocktail. After, you can stop in at the Mayan ruins or tour a working cacao plantation before making it back to the resort by dinner. Alternatively, you can spend the entire day exploring the Blue Hole or scuba diving in the Ambergris Caye, the second largest barrier reef in the world. The best part is that these amazing sights are only a short boat ride from the resort.

At Mahogany Beach Resort and Beach Club you can do as much or as little as you want. Ms. Clifford states, “We think of our property as your basecamp to your Belize adventure. Your adventure one day can be two mimosas and a Danielle Steel book by the pool, and the next day you can ride horses through the rainforest, visit a sugar cane plantation and then have a perfectly curated dinner, beachside, with all the wholesome goodness of local offerings”.

Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club has so much to offer, yet Ms. Clifford and Mr. Evanich never rest on their success. They continually strive to greet the customer from the time they arrive with fresh ideas and razor focused purpose. Solar powered golf carts to explore the island is just one innovative idea that is in the works, as well as highly personalized concierge services that are sure to elevate your curated vacation to epic heights. Groups and large parties are welcomed at the resort with open arms and can carefully craft itineraries fit for monarchy.

Mahogany Bay Resort and Beach Club is in a class of its own run by professionals that are passionate about making your vacation the best it can be.
