There is a specific kind of energy that takes over Preston Hollow in May. It’s a blend of high-season elegance and the warm, chaotic joy of school years winding down. As the magnolias bloom across our neighborhood, I find myself reflecting on the powerful force that truly sustains our community: the women who lead it.

This month, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we aren’t just honoring the women who raised us; we are celebrating the "architects of home" in every sense. From the mothers balancing carpools and careers to the female entrepreneurs shaping our local economy, these women are the backbone of Preston Hollow.
In this issue, we are proud to spotlight our incredible female business partners Whether they are designing the sanctuaries we call home, leading local nonprofits, or running the boutiques that define our neighborhood's style, their vision and resilience inspire us daily. Their success isn't just about business; it’s about the intentionality they bring to everything they touch.
We also look at the transformative power of a woman’s touch through our feature on Dwell with Dignity. Seeing how their signature event, The Studio, turns high-end design into a lifeline for families—often headed by single mothers—reminds us that beauty and mission are a potent combination. Similarly, the Dallas CASA Parade of Playhouses at NorthPark Center reminds us of our collective duty to protect the childhoods of our city’s most vulnerable.
To the mothers, the mentors, and the glass-shatterers: thank you. You make Preston Hollow a more vibrant, compassionate, and beautiful place to live. I hope this issue serves as a small tribute to your tireless work and your boundless heart.
Happy Mother’s Day,

Mackenzie Brittingham moves her Atelier to the Park Cities

The Dallas bridal scene is witnessing a significant transition as acclaimed designer Mackenzie Brittingham moves her operations from the iconic Crescent Court. For years, Brittingham has been a staple of the Uptown luxury landscape, most notably as the owner of the Stanley Korshak Bridal Salon. Her tenure at the Crescent was marked by an expansion to a sprawling, two-story showroom that became a pilgrimage site for brides-to-be across the South.
Known for her "home-grown" Dallas roots and an innate understanding of the "Preston Hollow and Park Cities aesthetic," Brittingham has built a brand centered on custom couture and high-end evening wear. The move reflects a broader trend of luxury retailers seeking fresh, intimate spaces that offer a more personalized client experience.
The new location at 5757 W. Lovers Lane positions the brand in the heart of the Devonshire/Greenway Park area, closer to many of her long-term clients. This strategic shift allows Brittingham to continue her focus on bespoke gowns, debutante dresses, and luxury mother-of-the-bride attire in a setting that feels both exclusive and modern. While the Crescent era was one of massive growth, this new chapter promises a refined focus on the artistry and individualized attention that defined her rise in the fashion world.

DALLAS CASA’S PARADE OF PLAYHOUSES RETURNS TO NORTHPARK
Dallas CASA’s signature "friend-raiser," the Parade of Playhouses, returns to NorthPark Center from May 22 to June 7, 2026. This year’s event features a shifted schedule to conclude before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Dallas on June 11.
Presented by Crest Cadillac, the event showcases unique, custom-built children’s playhouses donated by local architects and builders. Visitors can view the imaginative designs—which have previously included rocket ships and cafes—and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win.
Beyond the creativity, the event serves a vital mission. All proceeds support Dallas CASA, an organization that provides volunteer advocates for children in foster care who have experienced abuse or neglect. With over one million annual viewers, the parade raises critical funds and awareness for the agency, which served 2,340 children in 2025 alone. Join the community in supporting Dallas’s most vulnerable children while exploring these miniature architectural wonders. Learn more at dallascasa.org

In the heart of Dallas, where beauty and precision intersect, Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery & Laser Center stands as a beacon of high-end medical aesthetics. Founded by the powerhouse duo of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Deuber and Cary Deuber, BSN, RN, CRNFA, CANS, the center has transcended the typical "med-spa" label. It has evolved into a premier destination where surgical expertise meets an artistic, non-invasive approach, led by a team affectionately known as the "Ladies of Lemmon Avenue."
THE VISION OF CARY DEUBER
While many recognize Cary Deuber from her time on The Real Housewives of Dallas, her true legacy lies in her twenty-plus years of clinical excellence. As a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) and a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS), Cary brings a level of anatomical knowledge to injectables that is rarely matched.
Her philosophy is rooted in "restoration over alteration." Cary and her team are dedicated to the "natural look," famously steering patients away from the "wind-tunnel" effect or over-filled aesthetics. This commitment to subtle, confidence-boosting results has made her one of the most sought-after injectors in the country.
The "Ladies of Lemmon Avenue" are a curated group of elite medical professionals, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Licensed Laser Technicians. Each member, from Tetchie Tagayuna, NP, to Jenna Gautille, LE, is hand-selected for their specialized skill sets.
The center operates on a unique collaborative model. Unlike facilities that only offer skin treatments or only offer surgery, Lemmon Avenue provides a seamless continuum of care. A patient might visit for a medical-grade facial, receive expert-level Botox from a nurse injector, and consult with Dr. Deuber for a deepplane facelift—all under one roof.
What truly sets the Ladies of Lemmon Avenue apart is the culture of empowerment. Under Cary’s leadership, the center prioritizes education and transparency. They don't just provide treatments; they curate long-term wellness plans that evolve with the patient.
Lemmon Avenue is distinguished by its investment in state-of-the-art technology and vetted, FDA-approved treatments. Their premier offerings include:
• Advanced Injectables: Utilizing a suite of neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify) and dermal fillers to achieve "facial balancing" and lip enhancements that honor the patient’s natural anatomy.
• The Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser: A crown jewel of their laser center, the Halo laser combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to treat sun damage, large pores, and fine lines with significantly less downtime than traditional lasers.
• Broadband Light (BBL) & SkinTyte: High-intensity light therapies that target redness, age spots, and skin laxity, often used in "Fusion" combinations for transformative results.
• Medical-Grade Skin Health: Services like the HydraFacial and Microneedling with PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) serve as the foundation for long-term skin vitality.
What truly sets the Ladies of Lemmon Avenue apart is the culture of empowerment. Under Cary’s leadership, the center prioritizes education and transparency. They don't just provide treatments; they curate longterm wellness plans that evolve with the patient.
For Cary Deuber and her team, aesthetics is a tool for empowerment. By blending surgical precision with a compassionate, female-led perspective, Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery & Laser Center continues to redefine what it means to look—and feel—like the best version of yourself.

The power of taste, trust, and the courage to “just start.”
She didn’t have a business plan, a media budget, or even a name anyone could pronounce. What Becky Hillyard had was taste, a young family, and the instinct to just start. Today, her lifestyle brand Cella Jane commands an audience the size of Vogue’s, she’s nine collections strong with Splendid, and she’s built it all while raising three kids — refusing to sacrifice one for the other. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Becky shares what it really takes to build a brand, a career, and a life you love. Read the highlights below, then scan the QR code for the full conversation.

Q: WHEN DID YOU KNOW CELLA JANE WAS MORE THAN A HOBBY?
A: Two moments. Women started emailing me saying they bought something I recommended and felt amazing — asking me to help them find a dress for a wedding. That felt incredible. Then I looked at my affiliate numbers for one month and realized I could cover our mortgage. I thought, I can actually do this. I never set out to build a business. I started it because I genuinely loved it.

Q: WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU EVER TOOK WITH THE BRAND?
A: Designing my own collection. It’s easy to point at items on a website and say I love these. But to create something from scratch, put your name on it, and wait to see if people connect with it — that’s terrifying. I had an incredible partner in Splendid, and women loved the pieces. It was the biggest risk and the biggest accomplishment.
Q: HOW HAS INFLUENCER MARKETING CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED?
A: When I started, brands didn’t know whether to take it seriously. Now it’s a legitimate line item in their marketing budgets — sometimes bigger than TV. Because what we’ve built is trust. People trust a real recommendation from someone they follow far more than a commercial. There’s no question about it now.
Q: YOU’RE A MOM OF THREE RUNNING A FULL BRAND. WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?
A: I try to get up at five and not hit snooze — that first hour before the house wakes up is the most productive, most peaceful hour of my day. Then it’s all hands on deck with the kids and school drop-off. After that I work — planning content, connecting with my team, editing. After pickup, the day shifts completely and it’s all about them. I’ve learned to protect both halves fiercely, because both matter.

Q: WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUILD SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN BUT KEEPS WAITING?
A: Don’t wait. Don’t wait for the perfect camera, the right strategy, or enough followers. We find every excuse to stay comfortable. Just start, be consistent, and be authentically yourself. The right people will find you — and they’ll stay.
This conversation is just the beginning. Becky goes deeper on the risks that almost stopped her, the design process behind her latest Splendid collection, and what she’d tell her 2012 self today. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on the Share the Lifestyle Podcast.
“Trust is the only metric that actually compounds.”
— Becky Hillyard
