PHCL has such a wonderful group of great partners in the design and home services industries it was hard to fit everyone in! Remember our gorgeous cover back in November featuring a stunning kitchen with lighted open air shelves and stunning cabinets and drawers? That was none other than the custom design and buildout (and photography) of PHCL partner Helmut LLC. Helmut is a family owned company based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota expanding to Dallas with a new showroom coming soon. They don’t think you should settle for the same old boring kitchen. At HELMÜT, they are in the business of getting you into YOUR one-of-a-kind kitchen. Helmut does more than just kitchens though, much more.
BATHROOMS
Whether you are looking to maximize the space of a small guest bath or incorporate all the most luxurious amenities available into a primary suite, Helmut is the answer. I bet a lot of you out there if given the opportunity to change just one thing about your current space would say closet. I venture to say Helmut's expertise is beautifying and streamlining closets is a close second to their primary kitchen design. Maybe this year is the year to start a redesign, one room at a time, from the inside out.
MEDIA ROOM/GREAT ROOM
What's better than a beautiful way to conceal your giant television? As they get bigger and bigger and skinnier and flatter it's almost as if the media centerpiece calls for some beautiful wood and stone and cabinetry to keep the room streamlined while we aren't
gaming or viewing. Don't forget to consider adding a custom wet bar or even just a fridge for drinks and snacks at your fingertips.
CUSTOM STAIRCASE
Probably one of the most beautiful projects I have seen from Helmuth brothers is a solid yet contemporary and airy open staircase custom designed for a home they did the kitchen remodel for. The kitchen and staircase complement each other so beautifully yet have completely separate identities and are composed of different materials. Updating or enhancing a dated staircase can really enhance a home and increase its monetary value.
